And, for the benefit of our Korean-speaking members, I just want to say...

TC apparently celebrated! lol

Happy New Year everyone! I rung in the new year with my two favorite men! ;-)

Anyone else doing pork and sauerkraut for dinner? I'm making it for the first time, as were usually with either my mom or my grandmother and they make it. This year is my first solo attempt.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

No I didn't. I was supposed to be on drunk patrol, wound up plowing and putting down salt all night. If anything, I was celebrating not having to stay another eight hours ! :)

Tonto's wife then wrote:Happy New Year everyone! I rung in the new year with my two favorite men! ;-)

Lucky you. I spent it with 13 of my least favorite, at least two of whom came in tipsy and had to be sent home. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get people to come to work in a snow storm on New Years Eve ? ROTFALMAO

NikiH got me curious when she wrote:Anyone else doing pork and sauerkraut for dinner?

I didn't know it was a traditional New Year's dish. Is it ?

Sorry TC. Hopefully you're celebrating tonight though. What a way to bring in the New Year! ;-)

Yes it's supposed to bring good luck. I have no idea where it came from but I'm thinking it's a Pennsylvania thing. I have family up there and a lot of the people I know that do it are from north of here! It's a simple recipe and I'll share if you'd like but JF always complains about the 'kraut until he eats it.

CLL really digs tcwest10's creativity with the quote tags as he wrote:I brought the new year in rather quietly. Chilled at home with Shenia after leaving church.
