Kornheiser and Wilbon both said on ESPN2 that TO will be a Redskin in 2006. They've had too much -drinking tonight.

Yep, I saw it too. But the scary part was, they were serious.

I know we're dealing with our lavar distraction and that's all still fresh but I still don't see turning down TO as neccessarily a positive if Gibbs talks to him and believes he can work with him, JGibbs has handled problem personality players his entire career including this year! Whatever Joe and Co. decide will be best but TO is a beast at WR (maybe the best in NFL) there is no disputing that, what is the worst that could happen? We bench him and eat whatever money we pay him, it's not like we haven't done that before and on the flip side if it works we're likely in the SB and really really loaded on Offense. Given the choice with our coaching staff I say take the risk cause Coach will not let it get out of hand.

ROTFALMAO I know you're kidding right - not about that they were serious but that you think they were serious?

I mean these guys are never serious about anything - they are entertainers first, last, and everything in between.

at least it gets a lot of people off the other distractions!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

They must be thinking of the Snyder of old, before Joe came back.

No way does TO become a skin with Joe at the helm.

I still believe that there is a good chance it will happen. It will depend on two things: Price and Gibbs. TO is damaged goods, so it is only worth the risk if we can get him for cheap. The upside is huge, and the downside can be managed if TO has a short leash (first sign of trouble and he's gone). It's up to Gibbs whether he wants to take on managing the risk. If he talks to TO and they decide to give it a try, I will support them 100%.

Oh, no. No, no, no. All we need is Moss and Owens kvetching about who's #1.
I don't argue that the man is a big target with great hands...but he's no Redskin.
Can't see it.
Are these the same birds that said Joe would never some back, the same guys who had already bought the funeral wreaths for this team six weeks ago ?

TO needs to go to a team that has enough veteran leadership to handle TO...The Skins ain't it. Do we really think Gibbs and Co. are going to bring is this guy considering what's going on with LA?? I just don't see it. Moss served quite nicely as a #1 this year, thank you.

My prediction is TO will become a Pat because they have the lockerroom leadership to handle him if not them than mayba a Falcon where he'll ruing them!!

I think he'll wind up in Houston, Nawlins or on the Faders. My 2 cents

I'll take him, especially over what we have or what choices we may have! Gibbs kept a few "troubled" players in check, I'm sure he can do it again.

I'm not saying I'll walk away from my team if we sign hi...I'm just saying, I don't want him.
If he's herre, he's here.
But no #81. No stinkin' way.

I'm with Jake, there is no way I want this loser on our team. He will disrespect the organization, his teamates, his coaches, his fans and the Redskins franchise itself.

I'll take Santana Moss anyday.

Plus, there's that one component nobody ever thinks about... (except BossHog) CAP SPACE

Ummmm... nobody? :x fart:

I'm not sure that T.O will get huge money actually... he may have to settle for a cap-friendly one year contract just to get himself back into the game of football. He burned a lot of management 'bridges' that will definitely make teams think twice about giving him a lucrative long-term contract.

Of course he'd have to fire Rosenhaus first because otherwise... Drew would rather see T.O not play football than concede to a pay cut.

I also disagree that the Redskins DON'T have the people here to keep him in check... after all, we have Joe Gibbs.

Does that mean I want to see it? No.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

This subject has come up on Monday Night Live with Jansen and Springs. Jansen says there is absolutely no way they want T.O., he is a cancer to a team in the locker room and they don't need guys like that around.

The way Gibbs respects his veteran leaders like Jansen, I don't see it happening. Jansen was too strong in his opinion against it. I'm sure he isn't the only one that feels that way. Springs didn't say much. He works out with T.O. in the offseason. I got the feeling he would like it, but once he heard Jansen react he just dropped it.

Those guys have different opinions about T.O. now. Obviously, our locker room would start dividing if we took a chance on him. Our team has been playing as one the last two weeks. There is no reason to add any jerks.

I absolutely don't want that cancer on our team. But that said, whoever gets him will probably get one good year of an incredible reciever. He'll be good just to quiet the critics and then will slip into his crappy ways again in year 2. I just hope he doesn't end up in the NFC East, because he'll probably be a force next year.

Andy Reid thought he had him on a short leash and look what happened. Gibbs said when he first came back, that he was looking for "true Redskins". TO isn't "true" to anyone except himself. And he'll probably tell you so. Because in his own words, he's "just being honest". But I will agree with one thing. Gibbs has had some troubled players in the past and was able to keep them in check.
I figure... If life is all about the choices you make... Then I choose Redskin football, beer and hot wings!!
