Your Most Memorable MNF Game

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Your Most Memorable MNF Game

Post by tcwest10 »

For me, there's three.

1.) Duh. (This year !!)
2.) 18 November 1985 v. NYG (Theismann's leg)
3.) 12 November 1990 v. Philly (Body Bag Game-B. Mitchell at QB !!)

So many games, so many late Monday nights, all but ruining me for the day's work (or school) on Tuesday.
Goodnight, MNF.

Gotta give a slight edge to the "Scabskins vs. Cowboys" - 11 Dallas starters crossed the picket line, played, and got spanked by the replacement Redskins on national TV!!! (Oh, and won me a quick $2500)
R.I.P. Andrew McDonough 9/3/92 - 7/14/07. Love & miss you, #20.

Jets coming back to beat the Dolphins. EVERYBODY had gone to sleep, including the TV crew!

I could NOT believe it. My Dolphins friends have not forgotten ever.

The Skins have had a few great but losing games on MNF. The ones we have won are great just not memorable for some reason. This year is the only exception against you know who.

The our "scabs" versus their "scabs" game was fun though. We won a SB that year.

My favorite was the game against the Rams in 2001, with Jeff George's 3 td's. The team played hard, really had no business going into St. Louis and winning like they did.

This year was memorable and exiting, however not a good game until the 56 minute mark, although the d played well.

I will also never forget the 0-4 Skins vs the 0-4 Boys in 02 when Stephen Davis layed the game on the carpet in the last few minutes of the 9-6 thriller.

I'll take "Duh" for $1000. Oh wait, wrong show. I hate it when I do that.

Anybody remember the MNF game between the Skins and Green Bay back in 84? WHAT A GAME!! To this day, it was one of the best games I ever watched!!!

The game went back and forth all night long, and it was obvious whoever had the ball last, was going to win. Green Bay ended up winning 48-47 I think. I think Moseley missed a crucial field goal that night. That year, the Redskins lost two games by a grand total of two points. Even though the Redskins went to the Super Bowl that year and got beat by the L.A. Raiders, I've always believed that THAT Redskins team was one of the best teams ever to play the game of football!!!

Week 2 of this year is my third most memorable.

#2 is the Joe Thiesman leg break game simply because it was so disturbing to watch it.

#1 of all time for me is the game, in '83 I believe, where Darrell Green runs down Tony Dorsett and explodes onto the NFL scene.
