Hmmm this is an interesting topic. I can't really answer it though. Are you talking in my job at home? Being a wife/mom I have more then one job. And the one that fills my day varies greatly depending on the week. Sometimes it's 15 to 20 hours other times it's well over 40.

Lately, in my final days as a prosecutor, I've been working only 5 hours a day....30 hours a week.
I am off next Monday.
My final 4 days as a prosecutor will be next week.
After that, I'll work as many hours as I need to work....to get paid.

2 summers ago I had an internship at the Howard County Board of Education, I worked in the mail room. I worked 42.5 hours a week, and probably only actualy worked 10-12 of them. Best job I have ever had. But what did I do with all that time? I had a computer so, after browsing around the internet I discovered this site!

For me, it changes A LOT from day to day or week to week. I can work as little as 4 hours a day or as many as 18 hours a day ANY day of the week. Seriously. Weird eh?
For example, I start an assignment tomorrow at 4 am and finish on Saturday at 2 am with six-hour sleep nights each on Wednesday and Thursday.

this summer, which is when i discovered THN, i was being paid for 40 a week. after i discovered thn...i was being paid for 40 a week, but maybe doing three a day...maybe four. still got a great performance review and whatnot, and they want me back next year too, so i guess THN counts as work!!

How many hours do I work.....? As few as I can get away with! Seriuosly, when your salaried whats your incentive to do more than you need too? I used to work because I liked what I did.....
Thats kind of the way my job is too. I actually have two jobs but one of them I only work about 5 hours per week. The other is supposed to be a forty hour a week job, but it just depends for me what exactly is going on. I could work 12 to 15 hours in one day where I actually am working the whole time. The next day I'll be in the office for 8 hours, but only do two to four hours worth of actual work.
I think I do more work on the weekends than during the week though. Thats when my wife runs me!

In my internship at school, I only work as many hours as I need to do to get my jobs / projects done. . .that averages about 20 hours of real work per week.
Then I've got 12 credits of class, so that's 12 hours of in-class time. . .I don't do as much homework as I should so I'm probably sitting right around 45 hours a week, or a little bit more than that.
Guess I'm not as lazy as I initially thought. . .but looking at TC's schedule. . . .

Yes, it is. But I hear that membership has some benefits as well. For example, one gets to make a few posts during well deserved coffee breaks.

From what I understand, casino's are awesome places to work. My brother-in-law's father is a blackjack dealer at Foxwoods and does awesome. He also only works something like 2 hours on his feet and gets a 40 minute break -- all in house meals are free! I'd be one fat man working there.

"The biggest misrepresentation there is that [it's because] Dan's got a lot of money. That's not it," Gibbs said. "We've got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some money."

Dealers, they do get alot of breaks, not me my friend, im a bartender, some of these canadians sure can drink. We pay for our food. Its garbage but it only costs about $3 a meal.
