Garciaparra to the Dodgers

Post by wildwillskinsfan »

This is flippin crazy. First Nomar ditches the BOSOX then he ditches the cubs. Now the cracker is in LA! All because he wanted to be closer to his wife. WEll thats really sweet to have to go through all that trouble to be with your girl. This guy is my hero. I mean he shoulda stuck with the sox. A year after he leaves the sox win the world series. Now hes got virtually no shot of ever going to the world series. Id love to see him come to baltimore though. After all that crap about Tejada wanting a change of scenery. If you ask me I think this all palmeiros fault. Besides Nomar is an all-star shortstop and very stable. And what the hell is with damon going to the yankees Stupid traitor

Nomar sucks now.
He is always getting hurt.
Didn't the Sux force him out of Boston?
And what is wrong with him wanting to be with his wife?

the sox traded nomar. he couldn't have stayed even if he wanted to (which he didn't, by all accounts). my understanding is that the cubs didn't really want him back. he's injury prone lately, and getting older.

The wife thing aside, I think the LA decision was a mistake on his part. Granted, I am a diehard Indians fan but in Cleveland he would have been afforded the opportunity to come along at his own pace, the team can live without his offense. In LA, he needs to hit well right away and I don't see that happening.

Nomar...I was terrified that Steinbrenner was gonna grab him and stick him at first to platoon with Giambino.
Lucky for me, there's the Dodgers.

Nomar was a great SS but no more, he's got a nagging injury that will never get to be 100%, although I would love to see in playing 3rd in Philly!
