The Tide Has Turned!

Post by sch1977 »

I really feel that the days of the cowboys dominating this series is over. There is finally some pride in our team, and the players are starting to "gel". The Cowboys, IMO, are going the opposite direction we are. I feel we are on the rise, and the Pukes are on the decline. For years to come, the skins will be back on the winning track! My 2 cents

I agree totally, the ol' Tuna is tearing that team apart, he is bringing in his former players like Bledsoe, Keyshawn, and the 2 Glenns. They are old and washed up and it is starting to show...

IMO the rilvary no longer lived in the hearts of the players but the fans. Plain and simple the Cowboys have had better coaches than us since Gibbs left. With Gibbs back I believe that he instilled that hatred for the Pukes into our current team. I know Smoot and a few others didn't like Dallas but those people werent plentiful.

What led you to that conclusion ? The 35-7 drubbing, or the sweep ?

You're kidding, right? I mean Gibbs doesn't coach people to "feel" anything - that's all hype! Gibbs coaches players to play football. That "stuff" might be good on the bulletin board or somewhere but there is no way that Gibbs coaches players to "feel" anything about another player or another team. These guys "coach" - but the rest of it is for all of us to fantasize about and hope that the players feel like - it's just not like that!

These guys are doing a job and hopefully tomorrow our guys do it better than they do! But hate, I don't think so!!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I am serious. Gibbs was quoted saying that Dallas fans are the ugliest fans in the world. He doesn't like the Pukes and Im VERY sure that he instilled pride into this rivlary. Maybe hatred was too strong of a word but in wut other year have we seen such fire in this rilvary in recent years? NONE!

Gibbs brought back many traditions to this team and this is one. In addition to the coaching he has revived the rilvary, he knows the Skins traditions and ways. He knows how the fans feel about it and Im 100% sure he conveyed that to the team.

I don't know if you guys heard about this or not, but Gibbs did bring some of his former players to Redskins Park to tell the current players about this rivalry. Joe Jacoby and Doc Walker were the only ones that I can remember. I'm pretty sure there were some others.

Besides, if you don't want to kick the crap out of a team that has beaten your team 14 out of 15 times then you need to be cut or traded.

I love the skins as we all do but I disagree. We are both improving teams. I feel this rivalry is gonna stay strong. Every year we are going to have to battle with this team I feel. They have some young up and coming defensive players that should keep improving. The Nfc East is back to what it used to be one of the best divisions in football. Parcells without bellicheck by his side hasnt had much success funny is there any coincidence? Huh...
