Never said he wasn't a great player but to stay a great player you have to push through and play with pain this late in the season, the guy has a thigh bruise ok, that's what our great trainers and evaluators have said...it's a bruise for pete's sake, say what you want about "oh your soo uninformed this blah blah that, a friggin thigh bruise, I'll bet there were at least 5 different guys on our team today that played against dallas even though they had something similar nagging them but they showed heart/guts/and leatherballs and perseverance something LA did not. I'm actually glad he didn't play it seems the other guys didn't do too badly. Lavar feels he's made enough plays this year to get his $$$ next year from us or somebody else so I think the last two weeks he's packed it in. Just an opinion.

Hey DEHog LA is far from intensive care.
Sitting out Dallas Week after having the previous week off due to a Thigh bruise, wait I'm sorry...a "deep" thigh bruise still=coward. Wonder if Joe Jacoby would miss a dallas-redskins game because of such an injury, perhaps russ grimm or john riggins would elect, as lavar has, to take 2 maybe 3 weeks to rest his leg....not a chance in haties.

oh your soo uninformed this blah blah
Uninformed is not the correct word... idiot works better. deep thigh bruise = quadrucep contusion/injury. Attempting to push of with this injury before it is adequately healed is likely to result in further injury, which may include a complete muscle tear. I had a similar injury that prevented me from being able to sprint for almost 3 years. You want that? That makes Lavar a coward? You need to aplogize to the man, and to the real fans here.

Do you really think that if LA could contribute he would not be out there?
You make it seem as though he is faking an injury.
Yeah, agree completely.
You can question his discipline, and you can question his dedication to improvement, since he hasn't gotten more "football smart" since he's been a Redskin.
However, you can't question LaVar's heart. The guy plays when he can, hurt IF he can. Remember last year, coming back too early from the injury. You know he'll try his damnedest to get on the field, and once on the field he will give you everything he's got.
Can we get a stupid post of the week award instituted here?

If you're going to rip somebody, please learn how to spell "prima donna". That is, unless you really meant that Lavar did something before the singer named Madonna. However, I'm not sure what she has to do with football.
Ha !! Just saw this thread and was about to post thesame thing until I cam across your post...
Great post !!

It must really hurt Lavar to not have been a part of the "Great Sweep of '05".
LA seems to be injury prone and damaged goods nowadays. Hopefully, since we might have him play out his contract, he can get healthy and become productive again. I'm not lookin'for him to be the "QB Killa" perona he loves to be, but a consistent and vital cog in this defense.

Back and better than ever!

I dunno...seems a little rough calling the guy a coward just because a deep thigh bruise doesn't sound like much to you Gibbs4life. Perhaps a better way might have been a questioning post asking "is this really bad enough to be out?" type post.
But considering how last year La Var continually tried to come back before he was ready, and has regularly played hurt, this will also probably be met with disbelief. It just seems like, well past the point of couth to call La Var a coward when you clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Basically, a deep thigh bruise doesn't mean much to you either because you don't understand what it is, or just can't imagine it being that bad. OK - fine. Say that instead. Making the leap to calling a man who's been a tried and true redskin for his whole career, who LOVES the spotlight, a coward for sitting out in the most high profile game of his time here in DC is just rediculous. Just due to the high profile nature of the game, La Var would be out there if he was even close to playable condition.
I just hope he can play next week.
