Cowboys Win vs Chiefs Helped Skins

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cowboys Win vs Chiefs Helped Skins

Post by The Hogster »

Because the Steelers won and the Chiefs and Chargers both lost, three teams are currently tied at 8-5 for the final playoff spot in the AFC.

That has made the Chiefs game vs the Giants all the more important for the Cheifs. The Chiefs play the Chargers the following week and a victory against the Giants will put them in control of their own destiny.

Consequently, a Chiefs defeat of the division-leading Giants will put the Redskins in control of their playoff destiny with a chance to win the division outright.

Let's hope the Chiefs show up and dominate the Giants and we seize this opportunity, we Redskins fans have been waiting for a long time for this opportunity.

And....it sounds like LB Antonio Pierce (a very strong part of their defense) will not be playing against the Chiefs because of a "high ankle sprain". With that type of injury, it is likely that he may not even play against the Skins the following week as well (but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.)

The Kansas City / NY game is on Saturday...I will be tuned into THN to follow the game. This is good because now the players will not have to watch the scoreboard on Sunday. They will already know what a victory would mean for the season.

Go Chiefs. Hail.

The Post listed Pierce as out for the year for NYG. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but it sure would be nice for us if true.

Nice post. Too bad Philly didn't beat NYG last week, huh? I only wish this game were in KC. C'mon Chicago (over ATL) and Pitt (over VIK)!!

I think the Chiefs will win this week because they are a better team than the Giants and LT should have a huge day against that D. They certainly understand that they were lucky last week, in that the Chargers lost to the Dolphins. I think that the Chargers made a big error in "overlooking" the Dolphins who are starting to play some good football and came back from being down 23-3 (to the Bills) in the 4th qtr! Hail to the Chiefs.

That being said - we need to win this game (as do the Cowboys) - at this time of year to be playing in a game this important to our franchise is why we are so lucky to have Gibbs.

All we need is to beat the Cowboys

make some noise

HTTR
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The Giants are beat up, the Chiefs are peaking at the right time...
Still, the onus is on us.
