I just looked at it again and he might have been able to catch up to Brown. Watch after he wedges himself infront of the kicker how he has another burst of speed to get the next potential threat!
Im sorry but Brunell needs to get this cat the ball.
at one point ferris was open, but he was too deep for Brunells throwing arm....
hmmm....i wonder how he did it in dallas
I think the length of the season is caving on him. He's getting tired, his arm is getting worn out.
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."

No. He would have been forced to throw across his body to try to force the ball to Farris. I think Mike Vick is the only QB in the league who would try to do that. I mean, other than Patrick Ramsey.
So should we put Antonio out there in some Offensive Packages?
Remember Gibbs was really big on this guy during Traning Camp and OTA's...he fell from grace when he dropped 4 passes in the final Pre season game and then fumbled vs Chicago...but take those mistakes out and Brown could have been involved in this offense.
Now that we are depleted at receiver do we give him another shot?

No, the only time I see him playing is on a Screen Play, but that would be too obvious.
And yes, AB is fast, but I don't know what the huge deal is about him getting a KR TD? All he can do is run straight. He has no jukes, no agility, and he goes down very easily.
Unless he has a huge hole to run through, he sucks at returning kicks because he can't find his own holes.

Can he do any worse than our other wide receivers right now?
Bain was an assistant coach at Miami Central High, and some of the local drug dealers in Liberty City told him where they could find Brown...What Bain saw left him speechless. Brown could start from a near standstill and leap to the top of a dumpster. Then, he took a running start and flew over the hood of Bain's Pathfinder, cleared the SUV and landed on the other side. "My jaw just dropped," Bain said. "He did it so effortlessly."
On July 4, 1997, Brown went looking for his younger brother Carlos, 14, fearing the worst at 3 a.m. He found him and a friend yards from their building, dead in the street, left there shoeless, but with their socks clean...Brown would later tell Moss that he wondered if that bullet was really meant for him as some kind of payback. He leaned on his mother during the tragedy, and had a large portrait of his brother tattooed over his heart.
Three staff members timed Brown's 40-yard dash, and all three showed world-class results in the 4.20-second range. "I said if we're not going to sign this guy, then let's not ever time anyone else who ever comes in here, because if we're timing for speed, it ain't getting no better than this," [Danny] Smith said.

Unreal.
That just about sums it up. What a story.

#60 Chris Samuels: 6-time 6-time 6-time 6-time 6-time 6-time Pro Bowl left tackle!
Man, I hope that guy sticks in the NFL and gets his family up and out. Its pretty sad when you think about how terrible some peoples lives have been and how they can even wake up in the morning. GO ANTONIO!!! Return a few more kicks for TDs and get a longer deal.
Man I read that story earlier today in my sports marketing class and I was really touched. The stuff he overcame to get where he is really got me rooting for him. I was disappointed when we cut him the first time but if we drop him again I'll really be angry. We cant afford to lose this guy again
Because he turned the ball over and Gibbs was making a statement out of him. We also had Thrash and Betts to return kicks but that didn't work out for us.
On Brown, I think that he has potential. He will learn who to run behind and if you saw the postgame show he said that he likes to run straight up the field but Danny Smith called for Run Lefts and that makes him have to wait for the holes to open up. If they never do then what do you expect him to do. He knows what he's doing. This guys go talent we just need to adjust our Special Teams to fit his talent just as we've done with Clinton Portis this year. We will see that it will pay off for us in the end.

So when you make one mistake you should get cut, he was already making a statement with Ramsey.

It started to go down in the last preseason game. Fumbling the ball. He dropped like 5 passes. He dropped a TD catch.
I didn't know why we got rid of Antonio Brown at first, but then I had to factor in his in-ability to hold on to the ball. He's very talented and he's obviously a gamer. So I think we did good picking him up and he will be a key to our playoff run.
tcwest10 wrote:We need him more than he needs us now.
I don't see how. Antonio Brown hasn't been any more effective returning kicks than Ladell Betts or punts than James Thrash. And unlike Brown, Betts and Thrash have roles in the offense.
I love Brown and hope he makes it, but there is a reason the other 31 teams didn't sign him during those two months. While useful (and exciting), Brown is still very much expendable.

Hey I like Antonio Brown. I think his speed is awsome as well as his recognition of holes. The problem with the special teams is the plays that are being called. As i've stated before he likes to run straight forward not to the outsides. Give him a shot at a few straight forward returns and you get a TD. EX: Last week in AZ.
I can't wait to see Brown develop some receiver hands over the offseason. He will be solid as our #2 receiver. Can you imagine having a dual threat for a sreen pass to go the distance for a touchdown??? Last night, aside from the fumbled ball, he looked solid.

I might want to add that he has shown promise. However last night on two occasions he didn't call FC when the Dallas player was right on him...and another instance where he received the ball at our 50 yd line there was no Dallas player for at least 8-10yds and he FC it. Needs to understand when to use the FC
