Lavar Arrington is a Coward

Post by Gibbs4Life »

I boo this pre-madonna and his lack of intensity effort and respect for the game, I love to see him make plays and I know he has pro bowl talent but he always sits out, fakes injuries, complains, disrespects the organization by saying "it's good for football that the 'Indians' and cowboys are playing for so much..." he doesn't want to work run or do anything that's beyond the call of duty. Lavar, yeah you the wuss on crutches, grow some balls and remember it's REDSKINS not indians. Get it right.

IT's Dallas week so "injuries" are to be looked at differently, if you don't practice by friday of dallas week
because your leg has an "owie" bruise then your a pantywaist and I don't want your coward arse on the battlefield sunday, somebody get me Warrick Holdman, hello Warrick, yeah 56's _____ hurts again so you'll have to play.

You kidding right. Either your being sarcastic or your not Watching LaVar Arrington. Remember he is the guy wearing the number 56 jersey, as seen in my avatar. LaVar is one of the most intense guys in this league and espescially on the field. Look into his eyes on gameday. You can see that he loves this game, and if the coiaches say he can go sunday. He will go.

How would you know he's faked injuries. He has had three surgeries. I think that pretty much says the injuries last year are real. And second you are not Buba Tyer. You don't know how hurt LaVar is. I do think he'll play this week though.

And disrespects the team by saying indians, You have got to be kidding me. It's a known fact (well may be you don't know) that cowboys and indians are suppose to be hater rivals. LaVar was just playing off of that.

Gibbs4Life wrote:he doesn't want to work run or do anything that's beyond the call of duty. Lavar, yeah you the wuss on crutches, grow some balls and remember it's REDSKINS not indians. Get it right.

Before I said you're not bubba tyer and guess what you're not Joe Gibbs either. You have not been to a redskins practice because ythey are closed to the public. You don't know what LaVar does and doesn't do.

And your calling LaVar a wuss from your keybaoard and telling him to grow some balls. I bet anything you don't have the balls to tell LaVar this stuff to his face.

Well guess what I believe LaVar qas injured but he was saving himself last week and in practice for games like this. You'll see 56 out there making hits on sunday.

As for you get your mind right. This is not the time to be attcking our own players. It's Dallas week and we need to focus all that anger twoards them.

Whatever chief.
His thigh injury was supposed to be pretty ugly. They were describing it last week, but you know he's faking, because you're on an internet board, and you know stuff.

First of all... this is a PG forum... so to more than one of you in this thread... please remember that, or you may get a little 'break'. :-)

While this drivel doesn't even deserve a response... I guess I'm obligated to throw out 2 cents when I have witnessed things that contrast a post...

First of all... have you ever even seen Lavar on or around a football field other than on TV? Or better yet, ever seen L.A at Redskin Park with a park full of Redskin fans?

Nobody spends more time interacting and having fun with the fans. No player seems to 'get it' as to what fans mean to the Redskins as much as lavar, save maybe Marcus Washington.

I have PERSONALLY witnessed TOO MANY INCIDENTS OF GOOD WILL ON LAVAR'S PART to say ANYTHING negative about Lavar's 'nature'. In fact, some of the lengths that he has gone to trying to interact with his fans have truly touched me. I watched him spend over an hour after practice at TC this year with a large group of disabled children. Lavar made sure that he spoke to everyone of them, had pics with all of them, even ran in to Redskin park and came out with authentic helmets and jerseys for some of them.

Now I won't give L.A a pass on everything that happens on the football field... I think he's a good player who could be a great player. He's sometimes not disciplined enough and freelances... but he's still an impact player.

But to speak ill of his heart, and his courage, and his team spirit, and with absolutely no basis in fact that I can see, is just slanderous. I personally have witnessed the exact opposite dozens of times... what have you PERSONALLY witnessed? Or are you basing it on what the media tells you to believe?

Probably.

We get that you expect more from Lavar... unfortunately, you need to work on your ability to express a point more than L.A needs to work on staying in his lanes.

My 2 cents

The person who started this thread is just looking for attention. It's funny to me that some dude who sits at home downing hoagies, twinkies, beer and country fried chicken wings, who probably couldn't throw a spiral, make a tackle, catch a ball or even sit through an entire football game without turning the channel can tell when someone is "Faking hurt".

Yeah...Lavar would beg to get into the starting lineup all year to sit out the biggest game.

This is a bunch of worthless drivel. The guy begged to play every week and played against the 49ers like it was the Superbowl and now he's faking?

He couldn't even make the trip to AZ because they were draining blood from his thigh and he's faking?

Try running around at full speed into a 245 pound man for a living, then come back and tell us whether it hurts or not.

Get over yourself.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

Anyway since I've been bashed I'll take it like a man, first no I am not a trainer at Redskins Park and no I am definately not Joe Gibbs, and yes I do drink beer, but my attack on LA is not without basis in fact...somebody give me a clear explination on why LA was right not to practice this week, blood in the thigh is not enough, blood "clots" in the thigh are not enough, why u ask, the same reason the dude should be expected/not commended to do what somebody on this board said he did for underpriviliged children, THE GUY MaKES MORE MONEY THAN PROBABLY EVERY PERSON ON THIS BOARD COMBINED, so yes I am upset when that player takes two weeks off for an injury that to my knowledge carries no risk other than pain. Jansen has two broken thumbs I'll bet he was out there in the snow friday. After all is said and done I hope LA does see the field, but you gotta be a leader this time of year and be at practice actually practicing...that's all I'm saying.

What you have to understand is that when you have a deep thigh bruise it hampers your abilities that makes Lavar as good as what he is. He is going to loose his speed.

Could you run as fast if you had a rock in your shoe. No, its something like that. It takes your mind off of what b/c for every step that he makes, he cant do what he's supposed to do.

Also there have been plenty of references that have been made to comparing this injury as to the one he suffered last year which led to surgery and cost him most of the season. I hope this is not the case b/c I think that Lavar really helps us with sacks and tackles for loss but i also don't want him to injure himself even more b/c if we do go to the playoffs we will really need him there.

This is my 2 cents.

I am just curious. How much money would it take for you to go out for 20 weeks of each year (pre-season included) and play a game in which you could be crippled for life each and every week AND you are 95% guaranteed to have at least one major injury per each 20 weeks?

So anything short of intensive care and a player should be playing in your book I guess!!

You are just so unimformed about the game of football, of course Lavar want's to play. I should also tell you that per Greg Williams (yes, I heard him say it myself when THN was covering mini-camp in June) the Redskins have one of the best rehab systems that he has seen in the NFL and no one plays until they have gone through the process and been cleared to play...It really isn't Lavar choice...the training staff is responsible for clearing players to play.

But I guess you would rather have a half spped LA in the lineup...and you'd be the first to bash him after the first missed tackle...Last time I checked LA was a human!!

he'll be gone with a simple hit of the RELEASE switch... no way the skins pay out a ton of dough for this guy. not when they have 4 or 5 other areas of more pressing needs. do i want him to stay? yep? will he have to take a pay cut and restructure his contract? yeah... will he do it? i wouldnt bet on it.

No offense, but do you understand the SALARY CAP? I'm just curious how you suggest the Redskins make up 12M in bonus money over the length of the contract by re-structuring? or are you suggetsing that Lavar re-does his contract entirely?

And why would he? Whether you see it that way or not, when l.A signed his present contract it was EXTREMELY fair to the team.

Are you aware of the dead cap money that doing ANYTHING finite to his contract would cause? The guy has 26 MILLION dollars in bonus money remaining... how do you eat that? Even if you dump the contract AFTER June 1 to split it... how are you better off paying 25Million over the next two years to NOT have the guy? It's not like the league will feel sorry for us and allocate the cap back to us.

The Redskins made this bed when they structured his contract full of bonuses, now they'll likely have to sleep in it. His contract is merely a by-product of a team that has been circumventing cap rules for 5 years just to stay afloat. They lumped it all into bonus money so that they could spread out the cap hit and keep him.... the end result is a dead cap number that is so large that it would be virtually impossible to even think about doing anything with it.

My 2 cents

I may not be a "knowledgable" skins fan but I do know (from staying at the THN site) that Arrington is going to be in a Redskins uniform for some time and whether he is playing (or not) we cannot afford to let him leave.

Get used to it and hope he plays better. - and stop whining!
