No question about it! There's not even any competition. This site sets the pace by which all others follow, albeit FAR behind.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

I have the answer (and its pretty obvious), the reason the Redskins official site isn't good is because BH & the rest of TheHogs.net staff isn't running it. They give some good info, but it's usually 2-3 days after we have already read it here.

The real reason the official Skins site sucks so bad is because it is run by the NFL. They are not permitted to put possible trade rumors on the site, because it would deal with players under contract, etc. Believe me, everyone in the NFL/Skins organization knows that Mark Brunell and Clinton Portis are comin to D.C. but it will not be announced on the official site until March 3rd.

BINGO ! If you read it there, it's as good as set in stone. At least they don't put up any stupid Lenny stuff.

Excellent piont, Redskins4Life.

On a site like this, you can get "fans'" perspective and trade rumors, etc.

At that site, you're only gonna get the "official" company line....which will never include rumors, etc.

Ok... I'll buy into the 'can't publish it til it's fact' adage that the official sites have to buy into... that's cool with me.

But what about...

No good history section.
No interactive activities
No message board
No chat room
No interaction with actual players.
No alumni information
No HOF information.
No salary cap figures.
No draft information.

I'd like to point out that I am ready any time

There would be a lot more there if i was in charge and had a budget lemme tell ya.

Is that a shameless plug, BH? :celebrate:

No worries, you deserve it. If the Redskins official site had 50% of what this site had to offer, it would probably be the best "official" site out there!!!

I agree with everything there except "No interaction with actual players." There was a place on the site where you can send players e-mails during the regular season. But everything else ought to be there. The MLB.com sites at least have fan forums, a history section, but why not salary info or player interactions?

Redskins.com is so pathetic that is almost impossible to find the mailing address to Redskins Park. Go ahead, try it. It took me like two weeks...

You could have asked, i'd have told you in 2 seconds.

:-)

Post your questions to the board, and I'm sure some young lad will beat me to it too.

BH, that debacle was before my time here. Since I found this board, I've only been to Redskins.com through links I've found here...
