The Redskins' defense could be without its top three cornerbacks heading into practice this week. Carlos Rogers was added to the team's list of injured players after Sunday's 17-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Rogers suffered a biceps injury and his status is day-to-day. The injury was to Rogers' biceps muscle area and not his tendon, which is good news because that means he will not require season-ending surgery, team officials said.
Shawn Springs sustained back and groin injuries in Sunday's game and Walt Harris did not play due to a calf injury. Springs was classified as day-to-day. Harris's calf injury had improved after a weekend of rest, team officials said.
Sit everyone until Sunday. Sit them. Screw that if you dont practice you dont play crap. These guys know how to play. Let them sit home and get massages all day. We need everyone.

Exactly. They know how big this game is already. Just send them to a massage therapist for the next five days and let them soak in how big this game is.

This is crunch time folks. We need to win these games and we need all of our players playing!! Now is the time that they need to suck it up and play through the injuries.

this game is too important for them to be out... atleast we know that if theres any possible way they can play, then they will if they want this team to win
Springs, Arrington, Rogers, are all listed as Probable on Today's injury report...Salevea and Griffin do not even appear on the report that is encouraging.

Looks like Griffin and Joe will be on the field at the same time, which is great news for run stuffing. I have also noticed our D-Line has gotten more pressure on the QBs the last couple of games, so having Griffin and Big Joe in the middle will make it hard for the QBs to step up
Smoot was definitely tougher than Walt Harris, but I like C Rogers as of right now. He is about as physical a tackler as you can ask for in a cornerback.

Not sure Rogers is that tough...Smoot was a tough kid for 175 lbs...and he was a great interview. I kind of like having 2 big and fast corners like we have now ..when the smaller guys like Walt Harris are out there I cringe whenver a toss play or screen pass goes to their side.

To be honest, Rogers may not be that tuff, but I doubt he's that brittle. Smoot and Rogers are two different molds. Rogers attacks RB's, Smoot was a weak tackler who threw his shoulder at their feet. Smoot would have been injured more often if he tried to tackle LT and others like Rogers has.
I would judge two games on a few years for Smoot. Rogers has a lot to prove still before he gets to that level. QB's in the NFL hesitate to throw to Smoots side of the field. Qb's in the NFL are throwing on purpose to Rogers side of the field.
I do think he has the potential to get to that level but just not there yet.
I don't think QB's hesitate at all to throw at Smoot.
I get what your saying about Rogers still having a lot to prove(I agree he does), but if I had a choice between having either one as my #2 corner right now, I would go with Rogers.
Time will tell, but I like how Rogers is ddeveloping right now. I was pleased when they drafted him, and 'll be pleased if he can make it out on the field on Sunday.
I heard that he didn't practice today and is listed as questionable. Thats not good for us. Harris and Springs both fully practiced so atleast we have 3 cb's to use. Keep the faith.
