If Seattle loses the rest of their games, the Bears/Carolina/Giants/Bucs win 1 out of 4, Atl/Min win 2 out of 4 and we win our last 4 we will have home field through out the playoffs
This is the kind of blind optimism I admire! Why bother sneaking in as a wild card or just a division winner? Let's go for home field advantage. I'll book my tix for Detroit now!
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."

This gives me a headache just reading it. I'm just going to hope we win our last 4 and everything falls into place so I don't have to "think" too much about the scenerios.
Hip Hip Hooray!!!

Dallas really doesn't matter if we win out...we would own tiebreaker anyway...but would be great to just put them all the way out with 7 losses, GO CHIEFS...but better yet GO CHIEFS AGAINST THE GIANTS...then we control our own destiny.
RiC has hognosticated that we win this week. Joe will not allow the tem to look beyond the Cards.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

This is incorrect, if we are tied with Tampa we lose because the Head to head matchup is the first tie breaker, conference record is second.
We basically can finish tied with anyone except the Bucs and take the wildcard, or have the Giants lose one other game outside of ours.
WRONG !!! There is more than 1 wildcard (4 division winners and 2 wilcards per conference)!! We would get the second wildcard based upon the fact that we have a better conference record than Atlanta and Minnesota ... hence we would get the second wildcard.

i think what they are saying is, let's suppose we win out, but so does minnesota. they'd be 11-5, we'd be 10-6. let's also presume the bucs happen to finish 10-6.
well, the vikings would get the FIRST wildcard spot. then we'd be tied with TAMPA for the 2ND spot, which they would get via the head-to-head tiebreaker.
we can tie with tampa if we are both ahead or equal to the other teams, but if even one team remains 1 game ahead, we are probably toast.
D-C-D ... they were saying my analysis was wrong. What I'm saying is that my analysis is correct.
Atlanta and Minnesota are ahead by one gaem. If we win out and they each lose one game we get at least the final wildcard ... regardless of what other teams (like the Bucs) do. If that happens in that we win out and Minnesota and Atlants lose 1 game each, all 3 teams end up 10-6 and we beat the other teams via tiebreaker due to a better conference record.
Now my scenario assumes we win out and Atlanta and Minnesota lose at least 1 game. If either team also wins out then I'll have to "recalibrate"...but this is the easiest scenario to root for.
