Czaban on Fox

Post by floridaskinsfan »

Did anyone hear the show this morning? I didn't know this but if Rock would have had 1 more carry for just 1 yard he would have broken a record for most YPC average in a game in the NFL. The reason he needed the extra carry was because the minimum carries to be eligible is 10 and he had 9. That sucks!! But we won!!!! That makes it okay!

Wow. Interesting stat. Forget the record, I'm just glad he was a solid contributor to the win.

That would be funny to see Rock Cartright in the NFL Record book.

Oh well, I guess he'll have to do it next week.

I hope Rock doesn't hear this. That "if only I had one more carry" thought could linger in the back of his head for a lifetime.

Yeah, Alexander missed the rushing title by one yard, and they sat him most of the 2nd half of that game, and wouldn't put him back in to get the extra yard...

I believe he missed the rushing title last year by one yard. He then said he was stabbed in the back by Holmgren for not letting him get another carry. He later tried to down play that comment. He was clearly upset though.

You can't blame him. I'm pretty sure he has an incentive in his contract that opays extra if he leads the league in rushing.

Keep in mind, too, that Holmgren was GM/President at the time, so he might have ben looking to keep the team's costs down with the Alexander benching.

Of course, now that he ain't responsible for payroll, and HIS job as coach is on the line, Holmgren is using Alexander to the fullest.
