Great win, defense was awesome.

4 in a row or we don't go.

sorry don't see that one.Brunell has had plenty of time to throw!!lack of wr's and not finding anyone open!!The bad part is that's really going to hurt us going against better defenses!!!

I think this can be attributed to play calling as well. Brunell has committed the same boneheaded interceptions that Ramsey has. They need someone to stretch the field maybe Brown but something that needs to be addressed in the offseason.

Please stop it. Ramsey threw more picks in one game last season than Brunell has all year.

first of all, that is completely bogus. secondly, brunell doesn't throw a lot of picks, he just fumbles every game instead. at least INTs happen downfield a little bit. fumbles are WORSE.

Combined you have a solid run game that will eat clock

Against the 29th ranked defense and getting pushed back on 3rd and 1. If you want to be a playoff calibre team you convert thos and get the push off the ball. From what I saw today it was the RB's more than the O-Line getting us those yards. But for you ... I'll change my assessment and say they played spotty at best (good in some stretches and bad in others)

For goodness sakes, WE WON THE GAME!!

Yes we did ... while I'm happy we won the game I'm just being honest in my personal assessment here.

I'm puzzled. NFL.COM shows that the Redskins won the game...the stats indicate that they pounded the Rams and scored two TD's in the 4th quarter.

Is that right? From reading this thread, it sounds like they lost. Weird. Portis and Cartright each gained 100 yards. Brunell completed 3/4 of his passes, but we're grumbling? Robert Royal caught four passes...is that the same Royal we had tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail?

Bizarre.

Yes, I hate Royal. He's such a whimp. He caught the ball this game, big deal I can catch too. He doesn't fight for yardage and goes down easier than Portis. He's by no means off the hook.

I think if we hadn't lost the previous 3 the mood would be better. Still too many stupid mistakes and still getting stuffed on 3rd and 1. Still I'm happy about the win and yes we actually did outscore an opponent in the 4th quarter and Royal actually held onto the ball.

welch, the stats do seem to indicate we should be a lot happier. but i think we are not sold on the quality of the opponent. they looked pretty dang lousy. i think few people here feel we'll be able to replicate these results against a good team. plus, the passing game was way, way off for a good while. made us pretty nervous.

Fortunately, there aren't any good teams left on our schedule (I guess you might just call the Giants mediocre?). I still can't get excited about our prospects, but hope remains. The way we have played the last six weeks, we have no right to even dream of the playoffs, but maybe...
