I'm with TopHawg...McCants has the size which got him those 6 td's...he can jump and catch, Russell needs to hit the road, but Jacobs has potential, but could also be used in a trade.

Why do all of you guys think Russell sucks!?!? Hes a 2nd year player with BLAZING speed, the only problem was he was on IR his rookie campaign. This season he was buried on the bench, but has the potential to be good in my opinion. Dont be dissing him just yet, watch the guy play then make an assumption

Dont make that kinda of an assumption man. I too have seen him, not in person, but in preseason and some of his college career in Utah. Give this guy a chance foot long hot dog.

Redskins4Life - we are on the same team - no need to act like a cowpuke fan and get insulting... please don't attack the person because they have a different opinion... ok? :)

ahem...skins4life, i'll say it again, i saw russell play in college, pre-season and training camp and from what I saw he has no potential, who cares if has 'blazing speed', man. Since I have seen him play that makes it an observation not an assumption, man. man, perhaps it would be best if you heeded your own advice and 'hold ya head up' and stop listening to Tupac for a second before YOU make an observation, man; meanwhile I will pray for better dayz when bums like russell aren't on the team, man.

From what I saw last year he (Russell) has 'alligator arms' and avoids contact when going over the middle. He's like the kid in street ball that only says "I'll go long". Hopefully he'll be better in camp this year; since he can't play special teams he must be a standout and catch everything that comes his way...or else...

He's a good player, but we have so many other holes and WR seems to be one of the only positions we have depth at. If we could get a decent pick, I'd take it and make due with Coles, Gardner & Taylor. I don't think you could get that much for him though.

I think the problem with trading McCants is that it takes a position where the Skins have both talent and depth and robs them of that. The last thing the Skins need to do now is create a need where one did not already exist.

...like they've probably done by letting Armstead walk.

That was my initial reaction until I read Coach Gibbs say that he essentially has a master plan. I am still confused by the decision but Gibbs has done more than enough to earn my patience in these matters.

FootLongHotDog...
Sorry man, I wasnt trying be offensive or nothing, I was just trying to make a point for you to give him a chance. But before I turn off the walkman with the Tupac CD, i'll tell you that Cliff obviously does have some potential because he was drafted in the 3rd round. 3rd round picks can make GREAT pros sometimes, Laveranues being a good example. If a WR has speed, agility, etc. then catching, and other stuff can be worked on. Hes raw but talented, UPSIDE is the word here.

Oh, no-no-no. Don't get me wrong here, Fios. I'm firmly behind Gibbs. I was behund Spurrier, Schottenheimer, Robiskie and Turner, too...but not as solidly as I am with Gibbs. I just want to know "why now" ? Jessie's cap number wasn't crippling. There's a hole there now. Why not wait until you have your man ? Gibbs must be very, very sure that he can get who he wants for that space.

We should get Warrick Holdman to fill his departure. Holdmans a pro bowl caliber player when healthy. Plus, i've always thought the name Warrick was really cool lol.
