I'd get T.O. for the rest of the season if he didn't cost too much. We're at a point of the season where we need to win most of our remaining games but with our current roster thats not a guarantee. He cant ruin team chemistry in half a year but can potentially make our offense potent enough to get to the playoffs and beyond. Then we can decide to re-sign him or not. We really don't have anything to lose, so I say go ahead and bring him on if the price is right.

NO to TO!
If all the statements about "winning is all that matters" were right, the only teams with fans would be the previous years Super Bowl winner. We constantly bag on frontrunners and bandwagoners.
What TO did that was wrong.
1. While under contract with SF he demanded a trade and then didn't like the trade partner. He then picks his new team and gets a new contract and signing bonus.
2. Comlpains about his new contact and wants more less than one year after signing the first contract.
3. Attacks his starting quarterback on every team he's on. Team unity does meen something.
4. Has been a major distraction for his team. How many times did the Eagles players have to respond to questions about his drive way workout.
5.Let's be honest, he dosen't want to be in Philly next year. He wants to be released so that he can get another large signing bonus. By my count thats 2 multi-million signng bonuses in 2 or 3 years.
What To did that was right.
1. Best receiver in football.
2. Worked hard to come back from the injury to play in the Super Bowl.

My opinion, the bad outwieghs the good. The Eagles found out last year what he does right will not win you a Super Bowl. Build a team over time, that will win.

I would like to comment on this whole TO situation..I will repeat this that TO is not a cancer.. Lets start with this..The Monday Night thing last year with the Desperate housewifes, or whatever you call it, remember the lady jumping into TO arms...? Nobody is talking about the fact that the Eagles told him to go to it... TO got crucified, and the Eagles did not even share any blame...TO never said one word.. MCNABB then said when they got into the playoffs that they don't need TO. again TO never said anything.. and the 3rd thing was they made TO sign a waiver that if he got hurt in the Superbowl, they would get rid off him...After the superbowl MCNABB said that TO had a great proformance, but he took away from his play.. Really...? give me a break... Who is the one that got sick...? Remember the O-linman coming out and saying that MCNABB got sick and was dry heaving, and the O-lineman was calling the plays.. What about Fredex.. MR Freddie Mitchell coming out and saying the same thing about MCNABB.. But nobody is talking about this.. Now we all have something to be thankful for. Ladies and gentlemen, let me present Richard Bloch.

Maybe you never heard of him, but you should never forget him -- not after what happened Wednesday. Because he did what no one else this year or any other year could do: He slammed the door on recalcitrant wide receiver Terrell Owens, lock, stock and Bloch.

Bloch is the arbitrator who ruled Philadelphia was justified to suspend Owens for four games and within its rights to not allow him to return to the team this season "due to the nature of his conduct and its destructive and continuing threat to the team."

I know it seems that you heard that before, but this was not Andy Reid talking. Nor was it Donovan McNabb or Brian Dawkins or Hugh Douglas or anyone associated with the Philadelphia Eagles. This was an independent party who collected the facts, conducted the interviews and decided Owens was guilty as charged, and let's hear it for common sense.

But that's not why we include Richard Bloch in our thoughts this Thanksgiving. No, we do that because he removed Terrell Owens from our conversations once and for ... well, at least for the rest of this season, and I think I speak for millions of football fans when I say, "Hallelujah."

No longer do we have to wonder if the Eagles were too hard on the guy. Or who was right, who was wrong or what on earth a "badassador" does. We know. We know because Richard Bloch made it as clear Owens was wrong, the Eagles were right and please, please, let's move on with the season.

I know that will be tough for talk-radio callers to absorb but, people, it's time to find another subject to dissect. Make it Joey Harrington. Or maybe the Baltimore Ravens. How about the future of Brett Favre? Herman Edwards? Jamal Lewis? Something. Anything.

I don't know, but I think too much T.O. had most people P.O.'d.

Enough already, and Richard Bloch just told us so. The Terrell Owens show is over, the man has gone home and there are no parting gifts for anyone. Owens had a good thing going, and he made it miserable for everyone -- the coaches, his teammates, the media, the fans.

Now, of course, he's made it miserable for himself.

Owens won't play again this year, which is the way it should be when you behave like an idiot. Owens was warned, and he did nothing about it. In fact, he made matters worse. So the Eagles removed him from the team and gave him a permanent T.O. Richard Bloch said they acted properly, but you really didn't need to hear it from him; your mother delivered the same message years ago.

That's why I like what happened Wednesday. Bloch simply reiterated something you were taught as a kid: Act up and you get punished. Period. Kids are sent to their rooms. Owens is sent packing. Big deal. It's the same lesson.

Had Bloch ruled otherwise, I could envision a cadre of malcontents citing Owens vs. NFL as precedent for disruptive conduct aimed at gaining releases -- on their terms, of course. Instead, we have a decision that reminds us that it's good to listen. It's good to behave. And you know something? It's good to get along with the head coach and quarterback, too.

Wow, what a concept.

The NFL said it was "pleased" with Bloch's ruling, with Harold Henderson -- the league's head of labor relations -- saying it "made clear" that Owens and his agent "engaged in conduct that was disruptive to the Eagles."

There's been no word what Owens or agent Drew Rosenhaus or the NFL Players Association thinks of the decision, but I can't imagine they're thrilled. It doesn't really matter. The public is worn out on Terrell Owens, and it's time to move on with players and teams that matter.

Now we can. Now we will. Thank goodness for Richard Bloch.

I think this whole thread was slightly taken out of context. Im not sure that he meant to keep TO by any means, just to have him for the rest of the year to see what he could do for us.

I mean... after all this im sure if it was just half a season that TO wouldve kept his mouth shut... AND not to mention what having a pissed off TO on the field would ammount to, especially against the eagles.

That is if he wouldve been available.. which he is not RIGHT NOW so it is a dead issue, to sign him after the season would mean an actual commitment and that is not something that this organization would want with TO. Just using him half a season and having him for long term are two different things.

Bottom line is that after the season the skins should not even think about TO. Facts are that He is an amazing talent, He is one of the great recievers of the past 5 years (and not too shabby on some all time lists as well)..

And for the negatives.. he is un needed attention, wherever he goes theres going to be a media fiasco that will turn the team into a soap opera no matter what the man does good or bad it will be blown out of proportion and cause more attention than wanted. thats just one big negative that no one wants round here.

Yes. Bring him in. He is more talented than 98% of the team we have now. Make him sign a short term contract and boot off Samuels and/or Jansen to make room for him.

If we are going to go down it might as well be swinging rather than wussing out the way we did against the Raiders.

haven't you ever read "The M0nkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs? or at least seen the Simpsons' rendition of it on one of their "Treehouse of Horror" Halloween episodes? you know the idea- the monkey's paw is cursed, it grants you your wish but there are horrible consequences you didn't forsee.

He Who Shall Not Be Named might be good for a few touchdowns, even a win or two. but he will leave a devastating wake. whether he stays for 6 games or a year and half (probably about as long as he will ever end up staying anywhere anymore), he will end up distracting the team and dividing the locker room.

joe gibbs has made a pretty ridiculous amount of mistakes in his first 2 seasons back with the 'skins (most recent being only running the ball 8 times in the whole 2nd half against oakland, despite having the lead and averaging over 4 yards a carry, essentially handing the game away to an inferior coach/team), but one thing he has done a great and consistent job of is building a team full of the kind of guys it takes to really work together as a TEAM- the type of attitude that won the patriots 3 of the last 4 superbowls. yes, we need more talent. but never at the expense of character, because it won't translate into long-term success.
