Redskins Injuries vs. S.D

Post by HailSkins94 »

Mike Sellers and James Thrash are out this week with Ladell Betts looking highly unlikely to play. Rock Cartwright will back up Clinton Portis. DT Cornelius Griffin is listed as "Day to Day" yet another week.

Time for our reserves to step it up!!! Yes, it's wishful thinking, but these are grown men, and they need to play lights out to beat the playoff-caliber Chargers.

I pretty much think we need Griffin back for our defense to have a chance.

Everyone has injuries - look at New England last year and this year. The difference between good teams and bad teams frequently comes down to depth.

Exactly, and unfortunately for our team, the injuries are popping up in the positions where our depth is well, shallow. Gibbs said when the season started he was worried about only having 4 receivers, and well, he was right. Same thing at corner. Walt Harris must still be hurt, because he's just not playing the way he did at the beginning of the season.
