Has anyone every heard of this parking situation?

Post by 1fan4ramsey »

My Buddy took my tickets today, he and his wife went to the game. This was his first time to FedEx. Although he had no parking pass he was able to park in a green lot, he was 400 yards from the stadium. He was heading south on 495 and took the 17b exit. He says he just headed towards the stadium and and as he approached the lot he asked an attendant where he could pay cash and park and the guy said right here. He gave the guy 20 bucks and it turns out it was a green lot. He says the letter and number on the closest lamp post was B40. Has anyone ever heard of this? I mean, I paid a heck of alot more for passes on eBay, and it sounds like he was closer than I ever was. He's not familar with the area so described it as best he could. Does anyone know where or how he got in a green lot?

He found an employee of Fed Ex who was willing to overlook his lack of a pass for a little green in his pocket. ;-)

I would warn the friend to not expect that treatment every game, he got lucky, very lucky.

Gid they give him a green pass?? What's happining is scalpers are now coming into the lot and buying the parking passes of those already in, and re-selling them.

Scalpers are also selling counterfeit passes.

They didn't give him a pass. He was parked next to people who had the green passes hanging from their mirrors. He said there was also a few others who got in without a pass like he did.
Another question I have is that I notice the passes have a barcode on the bottom, what is it for? During the game do the attendants actually walk around and scan each one? Come to think of it, I had an orange pass for the Sunday Night Eagles game, I got off exit 16 and followed signs to the orange lot, at no time did anyone look closely at my pass to verify it was real, I don't even know if they looked at it at all. I mean, what would they do if you goot off at exit 16, got in a line for one of the lots and you didn't have a pass, they couldn't ask you to turn around because all the traffic is heading in one direction, what do they do in this case?

If they notice you without a pass (or with a fake pass) they make you turn around (and if you have a fake one, they tear it up).

I parked in the orange lot for a game last year, we got there early and the guy said to come on in and he'd come back around to get the 20 bucks from us. He came back after we parked and we paid him. Guess they want to make a little extra on the side.
