The Skins are at a crossroads at 5-5. Despite the outrageous claims of some Redskins "faithful" on THN, the Skins still have a chance at making the post-season. It seems that the Skins bandwagon has lost several passengers on the way back from Tampa and after hosting the Faiders at FedEx on Sunday. But the wagon has gone through the car wash, and even has a new air freshener called "Playoff Run".
So, here's an opportunity for you to reassert your spot on the bandwagon. Plenty seats have become available and now is the perfect time to "upgrade" if you got a crummy seat earlier.
What do you say? Are you in?? Add your name to the list:
Passenger: Skin, Redeemed Destination: 11-5 and the Playoffs, baby!!!
2-5 last 7 games redeemed... what about that gives you optimism? where they were winning close games early, now they aren't. the whole "true fan" thing is old. people just vent on here... it's an outlet better than kicking the dog... you know?
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

For a second there, I thought we had lost our bus driver. 2-5 in the last seven games is good news to me, cause it means we may have lost the guy riding shotgun. If it's available, I'm riding shotgun with CLL until we reach the playoffs!!!
Sure, she needs a bit of a tune-up, but overall this baby will get us far this year. Keep the wheel straight, Chris!!!!

You simply cannot look at ONLY our record to see the improvement this team has made. How soon we forget. I guess its easier for me to see the success of this team because I wasn't here for the super bowls. Jake, myself and others have grown up in the Redskin dark ages so we're a lot more thankful for what Gibbs has accomplished in his 2 YEARS! I think some of you are just spoiled. Also, if we boot Gibbs who are we going to bring in? Have you all even thought that far yet? I hate the play calling, I hate some of the conservative stuff but thats no reason to....commit genocide.
The rest of the schedule in this NFL season is UNPREDICTABLE. Or should I say UNHognosticable?
I do not know if the Skins will make it to the playoffs. They certainly could but the math is getting to be a bit tight.
But I GUARANTEE that the Skins would go to the playoffs and more -IF- they avoid turnovers from now on. Few teams can beat them if they do not beat themselves.
Go Redskins!
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

So's you ON or OFF the playoff Bandwagon???? Don't dodge the question!!!!

i think 14 years of "dark ages" football is quite enough and that no one here is spoiled anymore. will i still be at the game sunday? sure... will i yell my throat raw? yep... but it's bleak. and the way the tie breakers are shaping up the skins will have to go 10-6 and that last game in philly has all the making of the 1 loss... so the skins have to run the table till then... just doesnt look good. one more thing... will i pray that i am flat wrong... YES!

Thanks for riding!!! See ya next year! People, great seats are opening up as we speak!!!! Act now! Jump on the bandwagon!!!
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: This in no way is a thread to prove who is a "true fan". We're looking for the "faithful", meaning those who are full of faith that this team will right the ship and fights its way into the playoffs. We're all true Skins fans (except the trolls, of course), but this is a spot for those who still believe in THIS YEAR'S TEAM to show their optimism. Hey, we might be wrong, but, it feels better to have hope for tomorrow than to dwell on yesterday.

right now im off, I just can't realilisticly see this team pulling it off. I'm sorry, but I have trained my self to think this way, it avoids disapointment, since the past 14 years have been a disapointment.
I will jump right back on sometime next spring, I promise.
I've been on the bandwagon for the past twenty-some-odd years, why jump now? Seriously folks, we're not that bad. Our last three games are in the division, two of which at home. We're still OK -- just need to get over the turnover hurdle.
"The biggest misrepresentation there is that [it's because] Dan's got a lot of money. That's not it," Gibbs said. "We've got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some money."
I think I must have a different definition for bandwagon. True fans don't jump on or off of a bandwagon. A bandwagon is full of fans who say they are or not fans based on the teams record. Do I love the Skins? Yes. Do I think they are a playoff-caliber team? No. Will I stop following them? No way.

First things first, nice sig line.
In response to your post, here's what I posted earlier on the first page of this thread:

So, can I go ahead and include you on the passenger list for the PLAYOFFS bandwagon?

I agree 123% that's EXACTLY how I'm taking this situation right now.
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."
I AM ON THE BANDWAGON. Never jumped off. It's not how you start its how you finish. We can go 11-5, and I think that is enough to either win the division or tie for a wildcard.
I am on Redeemed, count me in. I am a team first guy. I think its do-able, but we HAVE to just worry about beating the Chargers. The Pukes and Giants will loose at least one game out of the next six. Hey if we beat them that makes two and could give us a share of the NFC East crown.
I am not off the bandwagon. Never will be. How can people hate on Randy Moss for walking off the field 30 seconds early, when some fans are giving up in the 3rd quarter of the season.

I agree 100%. My definition of bandwagon is the same as WS.
People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....
~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.
What does the bandwagon look like? I saw a bus parked in a ditch on the way home today. The windows were broken. Didn't see anybody on it - could it have been the Cardinal's bandwagon?

A bandwagon looks like this...a bunch of guys show up with Redskins garb when the team is winning and are all of a sudden die hard Skins fans, but when times are tough they are nowhere to be found.
Bandwagon is like when this site is flooded with members when we are 3-0 and then dwindles as the losses pile up.
I look at the relationshiph with a fan like this. If you had a true friend who was rich and on top of the world and he invited you to hang out with him, you'd probably go. But you are no friend at all if when he falls on hard luck, you are nowhere to be found.
Im around wheter its 1991 or 2001, Ive seen a 7-0 team go 9-7 and I've seen a 10-6 team win the division. So when its week 10 and we are 2 games out of a wild card and aren't mathematically elimianated a fan looks at the next game as one we can win. We can't predict the future for better or worse, true fans realize that and don't try to predict failure.

At least you are man enough to admit what type of fan you are. Some people can't do that.
