Sean Taylor Hit
Did everyone see the hit that Taylor put on Jerry Porter in the second half? Man, that was an awesome hit. This guy makes people want to watch football. Dude is scary!

I thought that Sean had his best game of the season today. I think that week off helped him heel and he looked like he had that speed burst back. He does as good a job as anybody in the NFL at shutting down Randy Moss. He was all over the field today and seemed to be around the ball on every play. One of the few bright spots in today's debacle.

OHmygod yes!!! Didn't it seem like every hit Taylor put on a Raider was gruesome.
Watching the game yesterday all I could think was: There is NO way we would have lost to Tampa if ST had been on the field. Am I wrong?

I had a great view of the hit but I was so mad that Porter made the catch (and I benched him in my fantasy league this week) that I couldn't even enjoy it.
That was a big catch as much as it was a big hit.

Instead he held on and they had a crucial long gain on their way to kicking our butts. I would rather have seen him in position to be going after the ball. Hits like that don't mean squat.
Football is about great hits. That's one of the reasons you watch!

The only reason he had a hard hit was because the receiver was open and making a catch. If he and his fellow DBs were doing their job, the catch wouldn't have been made and there wouldn't have to be a hit.
Listen, I LOVE big hits just like the other guy, but only when it matters. I would have much rather see him slapping away the ball.
And I'd rather be #1 in our division than #1 on "Jacked Up"

At the time, we were still winning, so I thought it was worth giving up the completion to knock the snot out of him. His next catch three guys buried him. He got up slow, made a weak first down sign and then wondered off to the sideline.

in a few years, taylor is going to have a bust in the 'jacked up' hall of fame, no doubt.
