END OF SEASON

Post by SKINZ_DOMIN8 »

It is time to forget all thoughts about the playoffs. Instead it is time to ship out the sorry MOUTH PLAYERS that ONLY TALK AND don't do anything else, namely:

1. Clinton "Fumble Dollar Bill" Portis. Fumble, Fumble, yet run your mouth and we lose.

2. Taylor Jacobs couldn't break away from a corpse.

3. Joe-Gibbs' playcalling or whomever is calling the plays.

4. The Offensive Line is atrocious. Jansen should be traded along with Thomas. Howard University could block better.

Forget it. This season is over we are now 2 full games behind the Giants and Cowboys. Done. Over.

I hat it when badnwagon fans like yourself completely lose faith in your team because they didn't win. We are still in the hunt for a wild card....we have 3 games against the division...2 @ home and the away one @ a depleted Eagle team.....so, if we win those and take 2 from the Rams, Cards...we are in the playoffs...yea, i am just as upset as you, but it doesn't make it better to bash the team...

There's a difference between faith and reality. Our team doesn't do some critical things very well.

We lose the turnover battle, in every game. We're fumbling...and come on. What good team consistently fumbles the ball?

We have no pass rush, and consequently, we have poor coverage in the secondary as QBs are given all day to pick us apart.

We don't pass block very well.

Those are three things that will hurt ANY ball club.

Do you expect them to be magically fixed in the next 6 games? I have trouble with that. It's not like we have young players in critical spots (aside from Rogers). We can't hope that suddenly our offensive line will mature...since most of them are seasoned vets. Or that our defensive line suddenly becomes dominant at pass rushing.

We are what we are. Meet reality.

I would agree, GRAVYTRAINER FANS like "SKINZ_DOMIN8" only add their two cents worth when the SKINS are doing well or are critical of the SKINS when they lose ... We still have a chance for the Wildcard ...

Yes I am diappointed with the SKINS performance, but I have NEVER, NEVER given up on my BELOVED REDKINS

Just because he didn't come on here and lead everyone in a singalong and a group hug? He's a passionate fan like all of us. The team sucked today and he's venting. Nothing wrong with that.

Follow forum rules and stick to the topic.

Anyhow, Joe Gibbs needs to do something drastic this week otherwise we will be another 6 win team WITH NO FIRST ROUND PICK. Bring IN TERRELL OWENS or something. I AM SO SICK of Gibbs and his lack of urgency.

We are 2 FULLLLLLLLLLLLLLL games behind the Giants and Cowboys as of right now. I am sick of this losing to INFERIOR TEAMS. ONLY THE REDSKINS COULD MAKE CHRIS SIMMMS AND NORV TURNER LOOK LIKE HALL OF FAMERS.

You are kinding right, Norv Turner and Chris Simms "Hall of Famers" ... Turner is a nice guy and all but far from a Hall of Fame Coach .... Simms this is laughable .... Granted the SKINS play has been sub-standard ..... But we will make a Run to the Wildcard ....

I hate to agree with Skins_Domin8 because you only show up when things are going bad.The fact is you are what your record shows-5/5.I am odds type of guy and they are not in our favor at all.Yes Gibbs must do something drastic to change the tide!!!What a bunch of terrible play calling against the raiders today!!!

Let's not panic folks. If we lose three more games, then the season is over. Anything can still happen. Even though Dallas and the Giants won today, you never know, a key injury(ies) could derail the rest of their season.

Eight losses and it's time to play Campbell at QB. Until then, it ain't over yet..... I'm pissed off too but let's Chillllll...............

Though it pains me to say so, this guy is right. Time for the "wait'll next year" talk to begin. This current 'skins team is NOT going to the playoffs.

And spare me the stupid 'gotta have hope until the end' garbage. This team hasn't made the playoffs since 1999. Anyone who thinks that's going to change this year is just kidding themselves.

That gives me an idea - since some people here like to trash people (and claim they're not 'real' fans) just for saying the obvious (the 'skins aren't going to the playoffs this year), I've got a bet for you: If you're so sure the 'skins are playoff-bound, why don't you stand behind that statement and promise NEVER EVER to return if they don't? Surely a 'true' fan like you just knows for certain the 'skins are playoff-bound, and you've got no problem betting your account on it.

I just want to make sure that I've got the rules for this site down:

1) don't criticize Redskins' players
2) don't criticize Redskins' coaches
3) don't question any coaching decision
4) wish upon a star and believe that the Redskins are the greatest...

why is it that anytime someone discusses a problem with the redskins, they're labeled as bandwagon, and told to leave? Oh well, I guess those are the rules---has anyone come up with the mandatory positive spin for the day? Hey, how about this--Randy Moss only caught 3 for 40 yds...oh wait, despite that, we lost to the Raiders---oh, how about this---we got a defensive TD today---but darn, doesn't that mean we only scored 6 pts on offense?

I'm not a fan of the doomsday approach, but I'm also not real keen on the blind, unthinking optimish...after all, somewhere, right now, a Vikings fan is pleading with his comrades to "trust in the coaches" to not give up on the season...and guess what, if the vikings win tomorrow, they will have the same record as we do, with a division leader in the same shape, and will be in an easier division...

Is it too late to welcome you to the boards ? Probably is. Here's the thing. If you want the boards cleared and have the membership rebuilt around you with your new rules, you'd have to allow those who are trashing to be trashed in kind.
Look, everybody is hurting after these past two weeks. Everybody. We set the bar so high based on the first few weeks that we forgot that we're just a few months removed from 6-10. We were planning our vacation time around the playoffs, assuming the 'skins were the next big Cinderella story.
It didn't happen, okay ? This is where you come to get it off your chest. Words like "fairweather" and "bandwagon" are bandied about when we hit the skids like this.
How about this. If you don't like what you're reading, don't read it.

We do our best to provide a good place to talk about our skins in a positive atmosphere. Some people on this board never have anything to say when the team is doing well, but come in and criticize everything and everyone when the skins lose a close game. That tends to upset some of the regulars here. I'm just as much a realist as you are. Do I think that skins will make it to the playoffs this year? No, probably not, but I felt that way two weeks ago as well. I'm here to root for my team no matter what. And I'm think that I am more of a realist than these doomsday fans that think we should fire the coach as soon as we loose two games in a row. I never expected us to go to the superbowl. Obviously some of you guys think that we should every year. Why else would you say the season is over, and Brunnel is washed up and Gibbs can't coach after our first home loss? That is the definition of a fair weather fan to me!

We have a chance to improve! What more can you ask for from a faltering franchise that has been a laughing stock for the last 5 years? I'm just happy to see my team have some credibility.

You don't owe me any respect, Chief. All I want is to be able to come here and read both sides. It's hard to defend somebody by attacking somebody else.
At the end of the day, there are no banishments of any kind here. I can count on half of one hand how many people have been thrown out because of repeated-and I mean, repeated- violations of very very basic rules. The guy you're going after is not a Mod, not a staffer...he's just a guy who doesn't want to have his favorite team bashed by another guy who is also a fan, but is disgusted by their play.
Neither guy is wrong. Maybe neither guy is right. What's wrong here can be fixed with a few timely wins.
We got to let the boys get it off their chest.
You want a bet ? I got one for you.
We're gonna shut down Gates and LT next week.
We're gonna bring the pain. Enough is enough. Joe is gonna erupt this week. I've seen it all before.
We are going to embarrass San Diego.
Ask anybody. I never say these sorts of things. It's in the cards, baby. I feel it in my bones.
This is not a .500 team, and they know it.
