Yeah, I know, we need to take it one game at a time. Right now Im only thinking about the Raiders. But this thread is intended for us to post some of the key matchups in the NFC each week that have playoff implications. Just to keep people around the nation up to date on who we should be fans of each week.
Week 11:

Thanks for keeping us updated, Hogster.
You don't see the Eagles losing to the Giants on the road with....Mike McMahon at QB??????? I think I could see that...

current standings (as best as i can tell):
NFC East winner: Dallas (6-3)
NFC North winner: Chicago (6-3)
NFC South winner: Carolina (7-2)
NFC West winner: Seattle (7-2)
Wildcard 1: NY Giants (6-3)
Wildcard 2: Tampa Bay (6-3)
Others:
Atlanta (6-3)
Washington (5-4)
of course, the above doesn't mean much until some important games are played. for example, dallas wins the division only because they beat the giants in their only meeting, despite having the same record. obviously, they play again, which will further determine their status. also, atlanta and tampa bay play each other twice before the end of the season. big games.
in any case, that's how it stands at the moment.

It's time to move on from the Bucs game, for sure. Now we have a little perspective on the playoff situation - one game behind the Cowboys and the Giants, with both having to play in DC before the season is out. The Eagles are in freefall, and nobody is head & shoulders above the rest in the NFC.
I am officially remaining optimistic.
