The problem with this team
Through our beloved history, we have seen the redskins REPEATEDLEY make the mediocre look like world beaters. Sunday was now different. Chris Simms undoubtedly has played the game of his career. Nothing different than Clint Longley, Uminoria(or whatever his name is), that guy from KC just to name a few. Recent history (and living in Philly area) has brought me to this conclusion. It's not the system, its the talent. We are way to thin on talent and the skins will not get out of the funk until we get more TALENT on defense. I would be surprised if we get into the post season. Don't get me wrong, I love my team, but when you stick the likes of Harris and Jimoh on an Island....we're cooked. Shame on Williams for not knowing this and adjusting accordingly.
So, to this end I say GO SKINS. However, it would not surprise me if we don't make the post season. If they make I'll be front and center, however.
Hail

I'm not sure if Rogers is good enough to be a "premier talent" just yet. He has gotten beat but he's continually learning. He probably will be a great CB but he's not there yet.

I don't think that the problem is lack of top talent. I think our lack of depth is what is hurting us. Everybody is going to suffer injuries (Taylor, Griffen, Springs earlier in the year) and it's the teams that can plug guys into the lineup and still be relatively effective that are going to be succesful on a consitant basis. When you have guys like Prioleau, Harris, Jimoh, Holdman, Rogers, etc. playing a prominent role on your team then you are going to have problems.

Problem is Walt Harris stinks... for the third or fourth week in a row now this guys has stunk it up, it make me sick that he is still playing. He can't cover or tackle, I am surprised he can find the field to run out on to, b/c he obviously can't ever find the guy he is covering...
My children, gather round! No retreat, no surrender; that is Spartan law. And by Spartan law we will stand and fight... and die. A new age has begun. An age of freedom, and all will know, that 300 Spartans gave their last breaths to defend it!

It's not as much about talent as is about which coach can get as many of his 53 players on the same page...The Pats did it very well the last few years...how many of them will go to the HOF?? The Skins did is well in the 80's and look how many of them are in the HOF?? We are good and on the right path. If we were getting beat and not making mistakes I'd be worried. We are next to last in TO differencial...and still we're 5-4 Unheard of!!!

Thank you for double posting. Lets see Campbell is young, Brunell is old, you can see where it is going? But by judging by your other posts you wont be able to put things together. Campbell will be the starter after Brunell retires, which isnt long from now.
