WALT HARRIS
HOW MANY MORE TIMES ARE WE GOING TO HAVE TO WATCH WALT HARRIS GIVE UP BIG CATCHES AND TOUCHDOWNS? ITS TIME TO MOVE HIM OUT AND ON TO SOMEPLACE ELSE.

Don't blame Harris for the game. Watch all their big plays and you will see Proleau around every bad play.

Harris is our best option right now, rogers is still a rookie, gonna take time, but looking back, I remember a guy named Smoot who fit this defence well but for some reason moneybags snyder's pen ran out ink and freddy left for the land of 10000 lakes, ironically who knew he was a sailor too

Do you seriously think we should have paid Smoot more then Springs?
Look how well he has done for the Vikings.

harris is terrible yes. had sean taylor been in there, this thread wouldnt exist. rogers...not fast enough right now on the deep fly patterns and frankly, the only corner we have who can stop that play is shawn springs, and then the safety help in sean taylor and ryan clark.
prioleu, in my opinion, is the new 50/50. he made a great play jumping on a fumble last week against philthy, but this week instead of being a team player, you see him chewing out shawn springs, almost 6 years his elder and a hell of a better player than he is, for amissed assignment, when prioleau was clearly out of position as well, hence the touchdown. he needs to look in the mirror and find a way to stop complaining and just shut up and play. no wonder he is a career backup.

Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
Hail to the Redskins!

Yes I do, I agree Smoot is not playing well, but name one member of the entire Viking team playing well and somehow they beat the Giants today, anyway Springs has 2 years left at the level he's playing, Smoot has many many years left. As much as the league is a win now league these days you have to somewhat think about the future as well.

Smoot does not deserve #1 corner money.
Period.
If he would have agreed to the same amout of money Springs is getting he might still be here showing he is a product of a system.

Carlos Rogers does not suck, give him some time. The fact that he is even on the field during his rookie season speaks to his talents. As for Harris, my thoughts are that he is the weak link on this defense right now. He made a few bonehead plays today and did the same thing last week against the Eagles.

correction: every big play was 10 yards behind Proleua (sp)
but you are correct... Walt Harris was exposed b/c of bad safety play... Harris is a little bit better when Taylor is in there...
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

Yes I agree that Harris is a very poor open feild tackler, but on the game winning TD for Tampa, Priolou gave him no help whatsoever.
He was watching Simms and looked as if he totally forgot about what was going on.
That is where I think Sean Taylor's injury played a factor because he would have had the awareness to cover the guy going deep.

Also, how about David Patten. I'm not saying that he's bad, but he definately needs to be more consistent.
A couple balls today hit him sqaure in the chest, and then popped right out (one being intercepted)
Another thing is that he doesn't seem to get open on his routes. Now yes, Barber is great and Bolden is alright but he runs his route, and the CB's are right on his tail.
Personally, I would like to see more of Taylor Jacobs. I mean he has speed and hands, so I just want to see more of him.
