Man, I haven't even got to seeing who's available.
Way too early. What the heck could we possibly get with the 32nd overall pick ? :)

Oh. See how "In The Present" I am ? Can't even remember last spring.
They say the mind is the first thing to go.
Still, if I had to pick a spot where we needed the most help, it'd be at end...and he'd be a FA, not a rook.
It's not like I have a guy in mind, but I really think the pieces that are missing here should be already established. We're so close to being complete !

I agree... But like you said B4 it's way too early.
Some guys will be re-signed before the get a chance to hit the market, others will hit the market because of cap situations.
A free veteran DE would be just what we need, and if we get one before the draft that would change what is needed in the draft. We don't have a no. 1 or should I say we don't have a no. 1 right now.
Things will change a lot by draft day

What ? We have more picks to trade away ? :)
Really. I never was really clear on how old you are or how long you've been a fan, but Gibbs...he's kinda loose that time of year.
In no way do I mean to insult your intelligence. It's very likely that you know more than I do about the history of the team...it's just my wanting to put that out there and say that Joe is perfectly willing to trade away what'll be good in five years for what will be good right now. (The Campbell thing surprised me a little, as I vaguely recall.)
What good coach wouldn't be, right ?
Where the heck is Ditka when you really need him ?

I remember Gibbs first time around and what he did with draft picks. I still think he is better with later round picks (3rd rnd and up). Since his return he has done things a little different.
1. Opted for Taylor over KW2 - he made the right choice but the old Gibbs would have jumped all over a TE of WInslow's potential, Joe was in motorsports but he couldn't have seen the bike thing coming.
2. Traded next years pick for someone he won't want to play for years. - Gibbs hates playing young QBs but swapped next years pick for a pick this year (he's normally on the other side of this trade). It's not the same NFL as he has heard a million times by now so he has adjusted.
3. Other un-Gibbs like things have happen also - Gibbs doesn't use a Fullback in his schemes but he drafted 2. One was converted to a HB but.... the point being he has a true FB on the roster. Also Portis and Betts role's would have been reversed 16 years ago, the smaller back would come in to spell the bruiser.

Draft no. 3 will be real interesting

Again... we need ...

1.) A disruptive DE (no need to expand on this one)

2.) Quality depth at OL and DL (after our starters I'm not real confident)

3.) Quality depth at CB (Ade Jimoh is our backup ... nuff said)

4.) Quality depth at WR (just need to produce with what we have now and start looking to replace Thrash and Jacobs)

In that order ...

Any DL. Whether it be the best available DE or the best DT. We need to get a pass rush and some push up the middle with our first 4. That would allow more of our talented linebackers to cause trouble in the pass game and stop the run better
Chris Cooley is this years Antonio Gates! THE X-FACTOR!
