interesting factoid
Tampa Bay has played only one team this year with a winning record: Carolina. and lost that game 34-14.
Their other opponents:
Minnesota, Buffalo, NY Jets, San Francisco, Miami, Detroit, and Green Bay.
Kind of puts that 5-3 record into perspective, don't it?

Same thing with Cinncinnati...only teams with winning records they have played is Jax(loss), Pitt(loss), and Bears(win).Skeletor wrote:Tampa Bay has played only one team this year with a winning record: Carolina. and lost that game 34-14.

and it starts to look even worse when you look at carolina's schedule: they have only played two teams that aren't completely terrible (new england and tampa bay).
therefore, the one "winning record" team tampa has played has a completely illegitimate record. the redskins would probably be 7-1 or 8-0 against their pathetic schedule. we'll see how tampa fares against the redskins, who have been slugging their way to a 5-3 record against a lot of the best teams in the league.

I agree, just feel better about the game after reading to stats.
Gotta respect the 'Skins

The Bucs are a good team. The only thing that really makes me feel good about the matchup is that Chris Simms hasn't impressed this year yet, and the Cadillac needs a jump start.
I hope our D doesn't start giving up 30+ yard runs vs. the Bucs. Bottom line, field position is key. We won't have 90 yard drives against Tampa. Tampa won't have 90 yard drives against the Skins. Whoever starts from the 50 the most will win.
Oh, and turnovers will be the great equalizer for Tampa if you think they suck.
P.S. Is Hall really healthy? Reliable field goals will be needed this weekend in the pirate ship.
