Philip Daniels shot on Donovan

Post by BernieSki »

How about the shot Philip Daniels put on Donovan after he tried to fake the spike at the end of the first half?

I personally think that Daniels should have burried him into the ground, he was too nice. In the past Donovan been know to do this, but this time there was no other Philly player on the same page as him, or may have worked. I think they scored a TD on this play earlier this year.

We need a picture of that along with this thread. The hit was just LIKE THAT (hopefully that wasn't too '90-ish for the young bucks ).

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing. I recognized that their WR at the top of the screen was uncovered until I believe Rodgers trotted over there. I remembered the Eagles doing that before....fake spike, TD.
The hit was okay, but it would've been sweet if he was taken to the ground instead of being pushed down.
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."

I loved the hit, too. Thought it should make the highlight reels on ESPN this week.

Crazy Philly play

Post by zr0hero »

Does anyone remember near the end, when the eagles were trying to put together a drive, and everything just seemed to fall apart for McNabb? The center snaps the ball, and more than half his line just stood there and didnt block, as McNabb got sacked by like 5 of our guys. What a great play.

He called a spike, but then tried to use his aparently lacking psychic powers to get his reciever to run a route, without letting the line know his plans.

And, yes, it was delicious.

That was awesome!

It was so funny when McNabb actually had to tell the WR to run. I mean the WR just sat there and was like what? Then Phillip just blasts in and decks McNabb.

Also, did you see how Lemar was like laying on McNabb so he couldn't get up and stop the clock

the angle in that gif is great for seeing how mcnabb gets bumped pretty good. not a head snapper or anything, but he's moving backward at a good clip.

i stilll love watching it over and over. especially westbrook, who just stands there the whole time. classic.

i also love how most of the eagles players are standing around after the ball is snapped. but every redskin is moving, not taking for granted that the ball will be spiked.

Phillip Daniels was interviewed on John Riggins's show on Sirius yesterday and he said he didn't go for a real big hit on McNabb because he was going for the ball.

and he was smart not to lay a big one on mcnabb. the way the refs protect qbs these days, he'd get flagged for roughing the passer, putting the eagles easily within field goal range.
