Hail to the Redskins

Post by BossHog »

Whoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We beat the Eagles! Whooooooooooooooo!

It was a tremendously solid effort throughout, and the better team won the game. It's been a loooooong time since we beat them green bastiches.

To rebound with such a good performance after stinking the joint out last week was testament to Gibbs' coaching ability. We showed up ready to play and we outbattled them.

Very sweet. The Eggles have been the division bully's for so long. It was worth losing sleep for this one.

I sat in an hour of traffic and totally missed the hogs.net tailgate, my head hurts and I have pretty much lost my voice.
100% worth it
Great game, I hassled every single Eagles fan I could see/yell at on the way out.

Great, great win. We got off the mat after our el-stinko from last week and beat a good football team, with or without, B.O. I mean T.O. The defense made an awesome stand at the end of the game. THIS is the type of win that can propel a team on to the playoffs.

As a side note: we are undefeated at home. That should definitely put fear into our NFC East foes come December. Thank you, Skins, for returning a sense of pride to the organization and its fan base!!! :hail:

Great Win, great atmosphere, but the league has to stop the Night Eagles/Redskins game. FedEx field is not equiped to handle the fights and fans who come down from the upper deck to stand in the aisles of the lower level. Every year the Eagles game gets progressively worse and now that the Eagles are losing the fights are out of control. The fans were up to policing themselves in our sections, there had to easily have been 4 fights in the 4th qtr alone without an usher in site. Philly fans are known to be the worse in the league, they make the trip every year to the stadium not to watch a game but to fight with anyone and everyone.

In the end it is great to get the last word in with a huge win and send the Philly fans home crying.

I disagree.

1) Increased security could help the situation. Once a year on a Sunday Night should not be too hard on the Danny's pockets.

2) The National coverage is awesome, especially when we perfrom well, like last night.

3) Hearing 90K chant "Eagles Suck" n National television: priceless.

Keep the games on Sunday night. I'm more than willing to attend, should some Skins fans decide not to attend.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I did not have a great time watching the game and the excitement of the crowd. But that's my point. There is a game going on and your sreaming and yelling, and there are two idiots wrestling each other down the aisle.

Naw, I totally understand your point. Actually, being at FedEx on any given GameDay can be hazardous to one's health. Case in point: at the game against the Niners, a fight broke out in the section next to us (448), among REDSKINS FANS. Some dude was either thrown down a few rows, or he dove at someone a few rows down. That was idiotic, and I am more than convinced that alcohol had something to do with it. IMO, that HAD to ruin someone's afternoon. This of course happened on the day we had our best performance ever at FedEx field. Go figure.

Based on that, I can't imagine what it's like to be at the Eagles game. But, with heightened security, I'm sure we could totally clean that mess up. Plus, the idiots make it easy for security: thery're all wearing green. :puke:

This is once again a rivalry, and hopefully, we can keep out the droves of Iggles fans. Hopefully, with the HFA we're developing this season, rival teams' fans will not want to come to FedEx in the future, allowing us to enjoy all games, even the opne's played on Sunday Night.

With the ease of buying tickets to a 90,000 plus stadium, we'll never be able to keep all the opposing fans out, but it is great when your team can back you up and win an amazing game like last night.

As for Snyder I am convinced increasing security is not on the top of his list (unless he can somehow sell marketing on the uniforms of hired security). Being a season ticket holder going back to the years of Jack Kent Cooke, Snyder can care less about his fan base, he is solely about making money.

I hate that team in Texas more than any other team, But I agree this was more satisfying. Maybe because we played them hard for 60 min as opposed to playing catch up in the last 5 mins.

Great performance by the TEAM. Lavar made the big plays, the defense was incredibly stingy and the offense did a nice job controlling the game. Another big night from Brunell, Moss, and Cooley.

However, even though the stats don't show it, I think Portis was the player of the game! Every yard he got was a battle but he kept moving us forward a couple yards at a time and that made things much easier for our offense. He also made that important catch, made a TD saving tackle on the fumble and did everything else that the team needed him to do. This guy is a FOOTBALL PLAYER. He has such a good football brain and contributes in so many ways.

I am going to sound like a broken record but:

What about Mike Sellers? How about Nic Clemmons!

How about our banged-up DL???

There are so many heroes that it is tough to single one out. Although I agree with Joe that Dockery deserved a "Special" ball because he recovered Cooley's little sin.

Side note (I went from anger and a scream of frustration with Cooley to relief and pleasure when Dock hustled to get the ball back. Nobody from among the bunch of Eagles around him was going to take that ball away from him). FootballIcon

Oh, I agree completely! That's why I started off my post saying
Great performance by the TEAM

Also, how about Ryan Clark?! He made some huge plays too. As Gibbs said:
It seemed like it was a guy here, guy there that made plays.

How about the crowd?

I know FedEx can never, ever match the magic that was RFK, but can we say that's coming in a pretty hostile place on its own?
