Novak released

Post by skins81 »

Kickers healthy again.

So Frost to do the punting and kickoffs, and Hall on FG duty I guess.

I like it. Glad you are back Hall, prove me wrong.

Welcome back to John Hall. Try not to tear a hamstring taking a leak before the game.

He didn't do a bad job for us. Let's hope Hall stays healthy now, and reminds us all why we were a weaker team without him on the field.

Novak will be back soon enough. I'm sure Hall will get hurt in the near future.

i wish i could bid novak good luck, but isn't pretty much a certainty that he'll end up with the cowboys? i'm thrilled to have john hall back, but releasing novak may inadvertantly help the cowboys.

I wish we would've kept him. He was 5-7 on FG's . . . . . hmmm, and didn't we have two blocked that weren't his fault?!?!?
Have no fear, Moss will make it happen.

...and our history dictates that we keep him on. It's a sad thing, when a Pro team needs to put a roster spot on hold because of the turnover at the K position, but necessary. I'd've held onto him.
I'm happy for McCune, but something tells me that releasing the Boy Wonder was a mistake.

I doubt Novak clears waivers but if he does he should be added to the PS

i still wasn't impressed with him. those two that were blocked left his foot at a low angle....his fault. his longest made was 40 yds. he just doesn't have the leg that nfl teams are looking for. he was a good 'fill-in' and for that i say thanks, but its time to move on. i just wouldn't feel comfortable with the game on the line, with novak kicking a 50 yarder.

i feel confident that hall would make that kick, if he were there. here's the problem, will he make it?

with all the injuries, and lack of depth, we sure needed the roster spot. so it was the right thing to do for right now.
