TO will play on Sunday evening. But Sean Taylor will make sure that it is not for long.

Donovan will play on Sunday evening. But Lavar Arrington will take of business there as well.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

TO's status is officially "Doubtful." He will not be in this game. If he is I would be very suprised. As far as the Eagles are concerned they don't need him (last year they made the Super Bowl without him in case you wonder why I would say such a thing).

Hey, I didn't think of looking in the gameday forum. As a matter of fact, I did look through Around the League and Hog Wash before I posted.

No worries. I was just giving you a hard time.

the eagles have absolutely no chance to win this game without TO. the reason is, the only thing that can beat us is big plays. the only person on their offense capable of making a big play is TO. well ok, i guess brian westbrook could take a screen to the house a la priest holmes. nevermind, we're going to lose 42-13.

I just saw on NFL Live that McNabb suffered another chest contusion against Denver and he had to sit out of practice today.

He fell on top of Shawn Andrews heel and was driven into it as he was tackled.

SI stirring the pot.
I hope he starts and has to be taken off the field after being leveled by Taylor
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Terrell Owens' next sideline route could be directly to the bench. Donovan McNabb may be a little more lucky.

Philadelphia's Pro Bowl wide receiver and quarterback are about as banged up as they've been all year going into a critical game against Washington where the loser lands in last place in the NFC East.

McNabb added a bruised rib to his growing injury report, while Owens might not play because of a sprained right ankle. Neither player practiced Wednesday, giving the Eagles' offense a significantly different look.

"I'm optimistic about the chance of those guys playing," coach Andy Reid said. "If things don't work out where they can't play, we've always moved on and the next guy steps in and does his job."

Owens' injury is much more serious. Owens sprained the same ankle he had surgery on last year in Sunday's loss to Denver and limped around the locker room after the game.

"He is hurting," Reid said. "He is sore. It's going to be a fight to get him there for Sunday. We're taking it day by day. He's made progress the last couple of days."

Owens is considered doubtful, meaning he has a 25 percent chance of playing against the Redskins. With his black cap on backward, Owens walked around the locker room after practice Wednesday without a limp or his ankle taped.

The All-Pro receiver broke his right leg at the end of last season, missing the final two regular-season games and the NFC playoffs before returning for the Super Bowl.

Reid dismissed an ESPN.com report that said Owens told the team his availability for the next two games was in jeopardy because of the ankle injury.

"I hadn't heard that," Reid said. "I don't worry about that. It's a day-to-day thing, that's the way he is approaching it and we'll see how it goes."

If Owens can't play, rookie Reggie Brown will start.

McNabb, who has put off surgery for a sports hernia, bruised a rib against the Broncos and complained of soreness and stiffness, but said he'll play Sunday in Washington.

McNabb was injured in the fourth quarter against the Broncos when he fell on offensive lineman Shawn Andrews. Even though McNabb said he's never played with so many injuries, he's not ready to concede he needs a game or two off to heal.

"When you do that, it seems you're throwing in the towel, and my towel is still folded up sitting on the chair," McNabb said.

McNabb refused to blame any injuries for getting off to his worst start as a pro against Denver, going 0-for-12 with one interception before finally completing a pass. The Eagles had just 4 yards in the first quarter and went three-and-out on their first four possessions.

"Obviously it's tough when you get one injury, but if it's multiple injuries, added with what's going on, it's tough," McNabb said.

The list of battered birds doesn't end there.

Defensive end Jevon Kearse is questionable with a shoulder injury, defensive tackle Sam Rayburn has a stinger and did not practice, and linebacker Jeremiah Trotter has been bothered by knee inflammation. None of them practiced.

The Eagles also put punter Dirk Johnson on injured reserve and signed rookie Reggie Hodges, a sixth-round pick of St. Louis who punted in five games for the Rams.

Johnson missed the entire preseason after surgery for a sports hernia and Reid indicated the injury never really healed.

In some good news, three-time Pro Bowler David Akers could return to kick field goals against the Redskins. Akers hasn't played since tearing a hamstring earlier this season against Oakland.

Akers said barring a setback he will play.

"I felt really, really good. I had a lot of pop on the ball," Akers said.

It is sounding like he might be used as a decoy if used at all. I hope he plays so that we can knock him out for good!

On ConcreteField and the official Eagles board, the word is that TO practiced today and likely will play on Sunday.

Just saw this on yahoo sports:

With Owens not looking like a go this week, rookie Reggie Brown figures to get the start alongside Greg Lewis. Billy McMullen would move into the No. 3 receiver slot.

He will play... It was just reported on their sportstalk station here that he will practice... practice = play...

and why is everyone so worried about if he plays or not... i want him to play... if he plays and the skins, by some miracle, pull this out, it is a legit good win and we can move on from the giants loss.

It won't take a miracle, Owens or no Owens. It will just take some (relatively) mistake-free ball--we're a good team when we want to be.

[. . .then again, mistake free ball for this club might be near miracle status at this point. Touché.] :-"

News and Notes

Nov 3 Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens participated in practice on Thursday and was upgraded to questionable for Sunday night's game against the Redskins, the team's official web site reported. Owens sprained his right ankle during the week eight loss to the Broncos.

Views: We're not quite sure how much Owens participated, but this news is certainly good for his fantasy owners. We'll continue to provide updates on his status as the week continues.
