Vince Young, Marcus Vick, Matt Leinart,
Who is the best QB?
Leinart may be the purest "NFL prototype QB". He is big, smart and very accurate from within the pocket.
Vince Young has all of those tools, but he has an added playmaking dimension with his legs.
Marcus Vick not only has uncanny accuracy, and cat like moves, but he has the benefit of having the most exciting NFL player as his older brother.
Assuming they all declare, who do you take with the #1 pick?
Do you pass on the chance to have the next Michael Vick?
Do you pass on the chance to have a guy who is physically like Donovan McNabb?
Do you pass on a Leinart, arguably the best QB of the three?
Man...too bad the 49ers blew their pick last year on Alex Smith. It looks like they and the Texans will be fighting for the chance to draft a QB.
Gibbs' decision to draft Campbell this year was great. Looks like we won't finish with a high enough pick to grab one of those three. They could conceivably go in the TOP if Young and Vick declare.
IF 49ERS continue to suck, they will probably take Reggie Bush.

I don't think Leinhart is going to amount to much in the NFL. He will more then likely end up on a bad team. I think he will end up just like Carr or Harrington. How can he not be a great QB with all the weapons he has at USC?
I'm am also a Hokie fan so I am going with Vick. He is like his brother but he can actually throw the ball accurately.
I haven't seen much footage of Young though.
I bet you Denver really wishes that pick they got from us would be a top 5. Thats not going to happen. If I ran that franchise I would get rid of the Snake as soon as possible. Could you imagine Vick running those bootlegs. That would be hard to stop.

Wake me up during the offseason. I am having a great dream right now. Skins are 4-2 and they are strong contenders for the NFC E Division title. Please do not disturb over the next few months.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I'm not entirely familiar with Young, so I can't really comment on him, but, I will say this: in the NFL, the speedy defenders can neutralize a scrambler not named Vick.
However, I'd take Leinart over Vick ANY DAY. Considering their respective "pedigrees" (Leinart - USC; Vick - well, Vick), one of these guys is a true quarterback and a cornerstone for a franchise that wants to build a Super Bowl winning team, instead of a highlight machine.
Give me Leinart any day. He's the complete [QB] package. Both Vicks are just flash.

Back and better than ever!
I get to watch Vince Young work his "magic" every Saturday. He may well be a great college QB, but he does not have the arm strength to ever be a QB at the pro level + he throws the ball sidearm. With that said he reminds me an awful lot of that QB out of Arkansas, the Jags drafted and converted to WR. Young is not only a fast QB, but he is huge (6'6 240). As much as I dislike UT, I keep having these crazy dreams that we draft him and move him to a possession receiver along with Santana.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

His brother said he is 10 times better then he is.
He almost looks like Peyton calling all those audibles and staying in the pocket getting the ball downfield.
He's a better passer and I thought that is what NFL QB's are all about??? Aparently it's good to have a Qb that can run better than he can throw nowadays.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

They did a comparison on one of the Tech games. Mike and Marcus are only one pound aparrt, one hundredth of a second separates their 40 times, and Marcus is right handed.
Other than that, their stats are pretty comprable. In their first 8 games, both were undefeated. Mike had a couple more rush TD's and Maracus has a better completion percentage and more passing yards.
Could be interesting. All I have to say is I hope Marcus ends up in the AFC. It would suck to have to face him or his brother on our way to the Superbowl.

Look at Carson Palmer right now. . .
If you give Leinhart about 2-3 years to gain some experience, he will be a great QB.
On that note, I'd take Vince Young. This guy is one of the most competitive guys that ever took the field. Mentioned before, the man is a physical beast at 6'6". He can make so many plays with his feet and has greatly improved his arm from his first seasons. I hope he gets to sit for a couple of years in the NFL (much like we're doing with Campbell) so he can learn to be disciplined and make great plays.
Did you see him vs. Oklahoma State???
239 through the air and 267 on the ground!!!

Have no fear, Moss will make it happen.
