NY/NJ Redskins fans @ The Falls

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

NY/NJ Redskins fans @ The Falls

Post by LaRou »

For those who don't know or haven't been there, there's a Redskins' bar in NYC called The Falls. The bar is pretty nice, the crowd is cool and 99% Redskins' fanatics, they have good specials ($10 pitchers, cheap wings, good burgers, etc) -- no, I don't work for the Falls or get a cut. hehe

The Falls website: http://thefallsnyc.com/

218 Lafayette St, New York 10012
(Btwn Spring & Kenmare St)
Phone: 212-226-5233
(closest subway stops: 6 train @ Spring St. and B/D/F/V train @ Broadway-Lafayette)

If you guys have no one to go with, no worries. I'm usually there with a bunch of nice guys (most are from this site)...I usually have a burgundy CPND cap with "LaRou" etched on the back. You can also ask the bartenders/managers to point me out. By the way, I'm the one in the middle in the first pic 1.jpg (http://www.thefallsnyc.com/gallery/redskins/index.html), and that's the crew I hang with.

It is a great place to watch the Redskins...an entire bar full of Redskin fans here in Manhattan. There's nothing like that feeling. The beer is good, and the tiny hamburgers suggest the immortal Little Tavern small burgers.

I, however, will not go to the Falls again. I went for the Broncos and Chiefs. Losses. I counted back to all the times I had gone to sports bars, and I can't think of a game I saw that the Redskins won. That goes back to the '92 season, when they stumbled against the Cardinals, and on through all the pathetic NorvSkin years and the first few MartyBall games, and finally the two years of ultimate degredation. All losses.

I watched from home last Sunday.

For those who don't bring bad luck to the Skins when at sports bars, the easiest way to The Falls is to catch the 6 train (Lex local) to Spring Street. Walk upstairs, look right (downtown...against Lafayette traffic) and you're home. Really.

On game day, the Skins fans adorn the place with Burgundy and Gold. What more can you want??? Definitely catch up with LaRou. He's a cool guy!!

I was their for the Chiefs game, and , despite the loss, it was a great time!!!!!!

If I didn't have tickets to the Christmas Eve game here in DC, for sure, I'd be up at THE FALLS, since my wife and I will be in NY for Christmas.

Funny you should mention a trip to NY, do you EVER check you voice mail messages??

I'd love to check it out but we'd need a baby sitter, while Jackson likes beer he shouldn't be drinking it in public!!

I'M KIDDING!! Calm down people.

JansenFan, you are a pervert. No wonder Niki wants a baby seater.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
