I've always been a fan of games that utilize strategy more than anything else. (In fact, I played this old PC game called Tom Landry Strategy Football until it wouldn't work on XP for me :( ). This game looks a bit intriguing. . .they could certainly make something pretty amazing out of it if they did it right. In-game playcalling and strategy, in my mind, will be the key--not so much all the weekly personell stuff. At any rate, I'll almost certainly buy the game when it comes out.

Anyone else think this has potential? Or would it just be "The Sims": NFL Edition(!)

Looks cool.

Like you said, if they do it right it may be a good game.

Yeah, it really depends on the execution. The idea is cool, kind of the other side of the Superstar mode in Madden.

Instead of running out and buying it, I think I'll let you run out and buy it and then ask you how you like it. :-P

If I feel that cheated by it, I'd be tempted to come on here and call it a "must-buy" We all must suffer together if we suffer at all, comrade. It's not fair any other way.

I'm only buying it because I'm dying to play another football game that is steeped in strategy. Dangle a 6-day old donut out of the trash can in front of me, and if I'm hunry enough, I'll still bite. . .

I refuse to purchase any "new" types of maddens on the 1st day anymore. I bought that trash for the PSP and I just got back from trading it in. I got GTA for the PSP and its the best game Ive ever got for my PSP and probally my last until Xbox360 comes out. It'd be cool if we all could hook up and play madden on the 360.

This is the game I have been waiting for. Now I only play Madden in Franchise mode, simulate all games and just do the owner offseason stuff. I think it makes it tougher because you have no bearing on the outcome of the game. So far in 12 years I haven't missed the playoffs.
