Are there any actuall gameplay shots?
It depends on your definition of gameplay. No, they aren't shots of footage of someone playing the game. However, these ARE shots of the gameplay engine in real time from a cinematic point of view. These shots aren't prerendered or cgi.

Seriously. That line of scrimmage has to be at least ten yards from where CP is right now, and it looks like he might have at least 4 or 5 more yards before getting hit.
the only problem is that all the people look the same unless you focus on one of them, like if they are chasing a play in the background. their body shape changes, and they basically look like the guys from madden 98.
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
The faces and stadiums, etc. are really improved graphicswise, but from actual gameplay shots the players have a lot of rough edges. It seems like everyone's short and stocky. Or maybe its just me?
this is still an early build pic, madden is rushed for the 360 this year, but oh well, and if anyone thinks this is the max graphis on this thing, NO WAY. just wait a little so that the gamer geeks can really find out what they are using here and how far they can go, so like madden 07 shoukd be light out in the graphisc department, now gameplay? eh, maybe not..

Actually these are the latest pics released by EA. They aren't from the final build of the game but they are in no way shots from earlier in development. These shots in contrast to the earlier pics are like night and day.
Im from the Ninendo ear, where all you could do on John Elway's Quarterback was drop back like 30 yards and throw a long bomb. So to say that these graphics don't look good is funny to me.
Im not that old, but I remember when 16-Bit was like top of the line. What do you all want? Pretty soon you are going to be able to pay the players to act out what you tell them to do. Thats how realistic its getting towards looking.

I don't think we'll see the overhaul we all want until the PS3 drops. EA knows that Sony is still in command. Sony has over 60% of the market right now. I hope that the PS3 is the base platform and that they downgrade it for the 360 and revolution?
Why do I say downgrade? I believe that the PS3 will be superior with physics and AI, all CPU intensive tasks due to the cell processor. I believe that the graphics will be close between at least 2 of the systems.
