What am I going to do w/ my LaVar jersey
When this season began I decided to buy a LaVar jersey. I was careful to pick someone who'd be a "Redskin for Life" as evident by his lengthy contract. I want to see LaVar succeed mostly because of that damn jersey I paid so much money for!!!

Exactly. I almost bought a Sean Taylor #36 jersey, Luckily the guy in the Redskin store told me that they were going on sale.
Authentics are nice, but you just dont know anymore.

A lengthy contract to me means that the player will be traded or cut within a few years. The only reason the contract is lengthy is to spread it out and backload it so the team can later restructure or cut the player. See Steven "redskin 4 life" Davis or any other modern day player. Personally i think it sucks and i dont/wont buy jerseys for that reason alone. The only way you can be sure is if you have a franchise QB like peyton or McNugget. OR.... you can go the duct tape route! that pic rules by the way!

I have officially given up on jerseys after my Heath Shuler #5 purchase... and then I was sure Michael Westbrook was a future HOF'er in 1995 and then when I was positive Brad Johnson #14, would take us to a Superbowl... After that I went with a solid one, #28. I decided to buy long sleeve t-shirts after all those.
Just beat Dallas - they are A-H****
That's a good call on only getting jerseys with retired players' #s. I, too, got suckered into a LaVar authentic a couple of years ago. Fortunately, I got it on Ebay so did not pay full price.
I can, however, still sport my #72 Dexter Manley (that I had made on NFL Shop) with pride.

HaiL,
If you are thinking of getting a certain players jersey you must consider how he fits into the organization.
If this player is considered "a Redskin for life" then you KNOW that's one jersey you can leave on the rack

My personalized jersey has my name on it. As a huge redskins fan, I will allways fit in the organization.
HaiL,
Hail to the REDSKINS, Hail VICTORY.

 that rocks! i want one with number 66 and "Evil Hog" on the name plate. #1 because jacoby was so nasty, #2, it will have enough 6's on it to fit the bill.gus wrote:1niksder wrote:gus wrote:[color=yellow]
