Will P.Ramsey and Lavar Arrinton be a redskin next year?
Just wondering on the thoughts about Ramsey and Lavar being a Redskin next year. Will the salary cap alow us to trade Lavar? Will Gibbs keep Ramsey around next year as a back up?I think Ramsey is gone for sure.I wonder how bad the salary cap hit would be if we trade Lavar?
RG3....Super Man....check out my socks!!!
I believe Arrington will be here, but sadly Ramsey will not.
We can not trade/drop LaVar because of the cap hit.
And Jason Campbell was drafted to be the future, maybe not next year but definately by 07. And with the way Brunell is playing, then add in his veteran experience, I don't think there is a need for Ramsey...

i think lavar may be on the way out. but i think gibbs feels really good about the QB situation right about now. ramsey has another year left. but, who knows, that's what i think as of right now(9:54pm, 10/12/05). there are a million different ways to handle any situation.

I would be really surprised if either of them are here next year. Ramsey's comment that he was a Redskin "for now" seems to say it all. As for Arrington, why would he want to stay? He went from a 3 year pro-bowl linebacker and the face of the Redskins to warming the bench, literally. I can't imagine what Arrington has done that got him into this situation. It must have been really, really extreme. I don't buy the "his package wasn't called" line.
I would bet that both will make a major push to get out, regardless of anything. After all, look what Coles cost to get out but he got out.
This off seasoin should be interesting.

I think that LA will be gone and Ramsey will be here. Although I hope that we trade them both (for the propper value) while we can get something. Gibbs has had enough of the whole Lavar song and dance. He is tired of it and sounds like he is ready to be done with it. The onl;y way LA is here next year is if one of the OLBs gets hurt and LAplays great for an extended period of time while the guy is mending.
Here is proof that Joe Gibbs isrunning the Redskins: has anyone heard a peep from the guy paying LA over $6M to ride the pine. Is Dan Snyder still partying in that luxury box in Dallas?

It has been brought up earlier, but it is very true that Campbell was brought in here to be the future of our organization. We couldn't want a cleaner cut, nicer kid as our poster boy. And in order for that to happen Gibbs has to make a decision. He can either give Jason some more snaps as a on year vet and play Brunell next year, or, there is always the Tom Brady effect as I like to say where maybe Brunell will get hurt next year, Ramsey's gone, so Jason has to mature really fast on the field. Of course there will be forced throws and mental errors, but I think that the more of the chance Jason gets to play, naturally he'll become a great NFL Quarterback. In order for that to happen, it's almost certain we'd have to give the boot to P-Ram. Just my opinion of course.

what happens between brunell and campbell? how many more years is brunell going to play? one? two? do you really think that gibbs would play a second or third year qb as his starter? i dunno. i think ramsey may be that 'tweener that fills the gap between brunell and campbell.

Too early to tell with any certainty. Both tenures look tenuous right now. Yes, there is the issue of the cap hit with Lavar. But what good does it do to you to have the most expensive body warming the bench in the NFL?
I still think that things might be sorted out. If anything, Joe has shown us that he can not be predicted. Look at the QB situation. he proved almost everybody wrong.
I did not vote.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

You need two more options. One for each staying, while the other goes.
