Anyone else here a big UFC fan? It's hard to find a good message board for that so I was just curious if anyone else here was as into it?
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship.
If you remember Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn from WWF fame, they were legends in the UFC.
The UFC is like wrestling but real. It's a no holds barred butt-kicking tournament. It's very vicious.

dude... it's called the "ultimate fighter" comes on mondays at 11:05 and replays, i believe, thursdays at 11... it's pretty awesome...
This past UFC PPV (last night) was quite boring but most of them are just great.

I watched it for a while, but it's getting too mainstream. I'm starting to believe a lot of the fights on tv are doctored for ratings and fighter popularity. The fight a while back between Ken Shamrock and that kid... watching the slow-motion replays I'm 99% sure that Shamrock was told to lose that fight. Just my 2 cents.
BTW, Dan Severn is the man

Dan Severn the man?
He's a roided up Freddy Mercury look-alike... and having met the guy as well... I can also tell you that he's quite a jerk too.
While UFC may be popular now, some of us have been watching the PPV's since their inception. (I have about the first 30 PPV's taped) Shamrock and Severn are both just poster boys... there have been much, much better UFC combattants over the years.
You wanna see realy brutality (UFC is a little tame now with all of the rules)... watch a good old fashioned Vale Tudo tournament where they still have to fight 3 times a night.
You can watch them on the new Fight Network (my new favorite channel... it even gets more air time at my house than the NFL network
). Wrestling, boxing and MMA... oh my!
If you wanna check out classic UFC action... grab UFC 1 through UFC 8... most to all were great. I actually went to UFC 9 and that's about where they started getting soft and not having 'tournaments'. incidentally, Shamrock 'fought' Severn in that one and it was undoubtedly one of the lamest bouts in UFC history. Thankfully I got to meet Don Frye that night and that saved a complete debacle.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Yeah, I watched the first couple and thought they were great, but I turned it on recently and couldn't watch for long, as it was quite boring.

excellent post Boss... severn is a chump, gracie choked him out from his back! the UFC is a doing a good job now being owned by zuffa. they have really brought it back to where guys are becoming household names... i can't get enough of it. though i do wish they would go back to the tourney format, i don't miss guys being knocked out and some fill-in chump gets to fiigh in the finals.
question for you Boss... who carries this "Fight" channel?
