score points earlier in game?
It seems when we open things up a little bit offensively we are able to move the ball and score points. I didn't get to watch the game today as it wasn't in our area. why does it seem like our offensive play calling seems to get more aggressive when we are losing at the end of the game, or we are tied in overtime. Why not come out of the blocks with this type of play calling and grab the lead?
don't even

Or is it because their Defense is worn out because we have used Joe Gibbs possesion style of football and by the 4th Quarter they have no more enery...

Who cares about gaining yards if there are no points scored? Stats are for geeks - if you have a 7,8 or 9 minute drive, you have to score 7! Not 3 or turn it over, or get a kick blocked.
It happens way to much. They have to be more disciplined and score TD's - the Red Zone percentage is getting better but not much.
Plus penalties are killing!!!
How do you go from 2 penalites in Week 4 to 9 in Week 5???

think our kicker has done a decent job. In the Cowboy game he made a game saving tackle and kicked the game winner against the Seahawks.
Our problem is that we are too conservative and predictable when we get inside the 35 yard line. We need to get a little more "creative" and aggressive offensively in the red zone durring the whole game, and not just in the last 6 minutes. Too many stalled drives resulting in 3 pointers.
Anybody remember the old "prevent defense" that did nothing but prevent the user from winning? I think we are using a "prevent offense" when we get inside the 30, and it's preventing us from scoring more TD's.
When you look at the numbers yesterday, there is no way we should have scored just 19 points on 447 total yards!!....should have been 35. Hell, Green Bay scored 52 on just 309 yards But, moving the ball the way we are now is awfully encouraging, especially against a solid Denver defense.
We lost this game for several reasons, any one of which would have changed the outcome. Two broken plays for long touchdown runs by Bell, 34 and 55 yards, and a blown safety call by the refs. Other than those two TD plays, our defense played extremely well. The offense had several scoring drives, but just two TD's, and that is the matter that needs fixing.
