Post by Chris Luva Luva »

I talked trash and we lost. Im not upset though. We played a decent team and we pretty much be ourselves. A win is a win and you guys won. Conrgatulations. So I have prepared myself a huge helping of crow. That is the chance I take being the driver of the bandwagon...............

I don't think I talked any smack, but I sure was thinking it, so I'll have a plate as well ;-)

Good win for the Broncos, maybe we'll meet again...

why would you need to eat crow when we won the game? (see bell's 2nd "TD" that was sprung by a sensationally obvious illegal block in the back on marcus washington). if the team flat out beats you, you eat crow. if they are handed a bullcrap "W" by the refs, stand your ground. we kicked the pants out of them today.

it was bad calls both ways pretty much all day. Don't blame the refs. We made far too many mistakes today. Far more then we made the first three games. Our offense moved at will. We played a good team and still almost won at their place. It's going to get better and better.

I reminded BroncoJoe of the following:

Let's see, FG taken away = 3 ps. TD taken away = 7 pts (assuming we kick the xtra pt.). Safety taken away = 2 pts. Blocked kick? Don't even need to throw that one in there. Hmmm, let's see, that's 12 points. Wow. 31 -21 would have looked great. Even in losing Howie said the Skins impressed him. On to forge out a "W" in KC.

Im a firm believer in that we SHOULD not allow the refs to determine our wins and losses.

If we would have played error free football we would have won. For making mistakes we run the possibility of losing and thats our fault. The zebras cannot be trusted so dont put your trust in them.

Congrats BroncoJoe and all the Bronco's fans, well played games on both sides of the ball. I know you will be on our side next week, not only because we are playing the Chefs, but because you guys now know that we can walk into Arrowhead and come out with a win.

To hell with BroncoJoe and his forever "updating server" or "my-guy-is-out-of town" crap story!

Hey Bronco Joe, I REALLY hope your team does well. I mean as far as the Superbowl. We would be happy to meet you there with impartial zebras (if there are any) on neutral ground.

In the meantime, go to hell!

As the Skins players, reportedly, said in the locker room following the game...

"THE BETTER TEAM LOST TONIGHT."

The Broncos should hang their heads in shame for the robbery that ocurred at Invesco Field.

Someone pass the Texas Pete...can't have bird without the sauce. The things I thought about this game both prior to and during could land me in jail. Time to move on/forward and put it to the chefs.

Why are you eating crow? Those bronco fans came over here (and posted on their own board) talking all kinds of trash about how this was going to be a blowout and the redskins suck. Well, as it turns out, they needed lots of help from the refs to "beat" this lowly team.

Why are you giving him congrats? These people posted a lot of crap. Didn't come here and be polite, just talked trash.

A thread in my honor. Thanks guys.

The game was pretty much like I thought it would be although I can't believe how we could not get to Brunell. You've got a good team - we may meet again.

Welcome to the NFC East.

The Redskins are missing a few pieces of a full-fledged Gibbs team, but they will found by next year:

- a DE like Charles Mann / (drug-free) Dexter Manley

- a LB like Wilbur Marshall (have one, almost...a puzzling Arrington)

- a big, fast WR that resembes Art Monk.

Only a few pieces. Right now, I don't see any NFC team, or AFC team for that matter, significantly better.

Skipping the possibility of injuries, both teams can make the playoffs.

Hoss, to say "Im a firm believer in that we SHOULD not allow the refs to determine our wins and losses" might have been appropriate 15 years ago, but with the parity that you see in the NFL today, you have to take into account the impact of SEVERAL bad calls yesterday that were associated with touchdowns and fumbles in the end zone. Not to mention the constant holding (tackling) of our defensive players that was "overlooked".

True enough, we still had chances to win in spite of these things, but there were 3 very blatent blown calls that any one of which would have changed the outcome.

Hey, you'd never win a single game if your team is forced to play by the rules, while the other gets a stack of get outta jail cards.
