I can't feel to bad about this loss, though. Our offense put up solid #'s, aside from a couple of miscues, the defense was stout, and even Ade Jimoh played a helluva game. Maybe this will truly spark a flame for next week against the Chefs.

That tuck call truly made no sense to me. It was clear he wasn't trying to pass it, so how does this become a forward pass?
That being said, the officiating was pretty lousy on both sides. The Redskins pretty much shot themselves in the foot too many times. I was impressed that they at least fought back.
But...the Defense really needs to get some turnovers. I see NOTHING int his game that will abate the Arrington fiasco. And just as clearly, the play calling inside the 20 really needs some work.

And they took 2 points off the board.
What about the Patten Flag... that was six.
I've said all week a win is a win.

"Fought Our Guts Out"
We fought our guts out back there.
19-21?
It was a good game. Not the results I was hoping for, but it was a good game. We kept it close until the end. IMO, we proved today that we are for real. The Washington Redskins are never out of a game. In 2003, we would have gave up, hung our helmets up. But no. We continued to fight until the end of the game, all the way until there was no time left on the clock. Even at the end, guys tried to forced a turnover on the kneel down.
I am upset that we lost, but I'll sleep easier because I know we stand a good chance going into Arrowhead next week at 3-1. Yeah, we lost. But we fought very VERY hard. Anyone who is extremly upset should relax.
We're for real, and we just proved that. They Broncos didn't lay us out. We came back and gave it our all. We didn't win, but that going to happen. But its great to know we have a team in there that will fight until the end. If anything thats what Gibbs has formed.
A team that plays like, and fights like a team. They wanted this one. Its not over till its over, and even though we lost, and got outplayed, I reconized that this is Denver. A 10-6 Playoff team, with a 6th overall defense, and a pretty decent offense. They came in and established their run, and we tried hard to stop it. But its their house, and I compliment them on playing good football.
But us, the 6-10 Redskins, the guys they didn't think could play, the predicted last place NFC East Team, came in and established itself. We're no longer doormats. We're fighters.
Hail to the Redskins.

I think it was a good loss if any loss can be a good loss.
We are ging to win a lot of close games this year and this team is going to be competitive with anyone in the NFC. I am even more convinced that we are at least in the top 5 in the NFC after what I saw from both our team and some other games today.
Looks like we will still be on top of the NFC East and I wish that the game against the Gints was next week. We are a much better team than they are right now and hopefully these caoches can get us some help for the secondary soon. I would also anticipate a lot more work in the next 2 weeks on the pass rush as this has got to get better.
We are looking very good and I am so proud of how this team likes to play.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
We are almost firing on all cylinders. We have to develop a stronger pass-rush and cause turnovers. If we can develop those two items, we will be in the playoffs. If not, my stomach will not be enjoying close games the rest of the year with a viscious schedule and our bye week gone. At least we can say now that our offense is attributing to the success of the team. It is progress ladies and gentleman.

It was pretty much how I thought it'd go down. Two great defenses both with good running games and QBs who play pretty well when protected. We made a few more mistakes then they did and they won. At their house, I thought we played pretty well while still figuring out our identity.

I'm very disappointed that solid play didn't pay off today. When comes down to a couple of stupid mistakes, it gives you that "what if?" feeling.
Jimoh was very stout on run defense and special teams but still continues to suck as a pass defender, which is what a cornerback is supposed to specialize in.
We passed WAY too much, especially for a rainy day. Portis and Ladell needed more looks.
Brunell: 30/52, 322 yards, 2 TD's, 0 INT's.
Portis: 20 carries - 103 yards
Moss: 8 catches - 116 yards
ey: 8 catches - 82 yards, 1 TD
Aside from a couple penalties by Samuels and Dockery, our offensive line played GREAT. Brunell had a lot of time to pass.
Like Bill Maas pointed out, I really liked that blitz pickup Portis had on Al Wilson late in the game. Very heads-up play.
Unlike most of our losses from last year, there were a lot of positives to take from this game.

I don't think I agree we're firing on all cylinders. The penalties were horrid. We have no confidence in the red zone. On defense, we let big plays get through, and worse, we have no real pass rush without the blitz and absolutley no turnovers. These are all big problems.
That being said, the announcers were dead on at the end in saying that Gibbs has made a complete reversal with this team. We simply aren't chocking anymore. We really are fighting until the last second ticks off the clock. This more than anything gives me hope for the playoffs this year.

We had 440+ yds against the same Bronco D that held the Jags to 12 yds last week. I don't think we should have the same concerns about our lack of offensive production anymore. And, except for the two long TD runs by Bell, we held the Offense in chack. And then there's the zebra effect:
Let's see, FG taken away = 3 ps. TD taken away = 7 pts (assuming we kick the xtra pt.). Safety taken away = 2 pts. Blocked kick? Don't even need to throw that one in there. Hmmm, let's see, that's 12 points. Wow. 31 -21 would have looked great. Even in losing Howie said the Skins impressed him.
I think that there are a lot of positives to take into next week and forging out a "W" in KC.

If they give us that safety like they should have we probably win.
That tuck rule call, just like the original tuck rule call, was incorrect. Both were fumbles. Those two small points cost us the game. At the end there, we would have Kicked the PAT for a one point victory. Still, Brunell should have at least faked like he was going to run it in on the two point conversion. Make the defender commit, then lob it over him. Personally, I think he could have made the pylon on the hoof.
Lastly, the non-interference call against
