Lavar must be humble to know that:
He should not ask the coaches what is it that they can do for him.
He should ask what he can do for them!
He should not ask the coaches what is it that they can do for him.
He should ask what he can do for them!
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

shawn springs said it best when they were interviewing him on TV when lavar came back: he had to do 40 updowns, just like the rest of us. he had to do the blocking sleds, just like the rest of us. coach williams doesnt care if your name is shawn springs or lavar arrington, everyone does everything with everyone, that's jus the way it is.
good for the coaches for benching lavar, he deserved it if he wasnt going to pitch on on punt team--he'd be amazing at it, he's fast, agile, and hits like a truck. why would you not want to play that, especially when you've made it clear you like to knock the snot out of people.

Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
Hail to the Redskins!
Hail to the Redskins!

Lavar would cost 2.9 million more than Coles did.
How's that working out?
Actually, I believe Lavars accelerated cap hit is more around 13 million and we can't take any kind of major cap hit next season because we are already right up against the line. We could probably get rid of him the season after that though because it may be a free year and our cap drops significantly that year.

Lavar's cap hit will be 12.1 less after June 1.
How can we be up against the line as of now we have 3.6 million in dead money and no CBA

This will be LaVar's last season as a Redskin.
My mom told me that the coaches asked him to play on special teams today and he wouldn't do it.
If that's true, then he's not gonna last long here.

I heard that too, and he said he wouldn't attend any special team meetings as well. Can't understand why he's not in on defense though.

don't even

if he actually has this kind of attitude, he doesn't deserve to be playing. i can't believe it. what's his problem? is he just not working on learning the defense?? we could really, really use his disruptive abilities. we are going to have to start charging rent to the opposing QBs at FedEx Field for all the time they are spending back there in the pocket.

First of all, it's just speculation that Lavar didn't agree to play on special teams. As far as I know no players or coaches have confirmed this.
Secondly, we really need Lavar out on the field. We are desperately lacking in turnovers and big plays on defense. 3 sacks in 3 games is pretty poor and once again we didn't force a single turnover.

good point. i really do wonder how reliable that info is. i can understand lavar being frustrated at not playing but to refuse to come to meetings or play ST? he would have to have had a severe attitude change from the lavar i'm used to hearing.

Where did you get the exact info on what his cap hit would be? The CBA runs thru next season. There is no cap in 2007, although most agree that there will be one by the time we get there. We are about 10 million over the cap next season and that is assuming it will be the projected 100 million.

Just watched the part about Lavar again, and Jay Glazer reported that Lavar told him that he was not injured and that the coaches were not playing him much basically because they don't feel he fits in a lot of schemes. There is obviously something going on. My best guess is that Lavar is STILL freelancing too much and won't play the way the coaches want him to. I also think where there's smoke, ala special teams. Just my own guess on that part though...

He's one of the highest paid players on the team. I expext him to be on the field. Does anyone know many plays was he on the field? My seats are pretty high up, but it I only remember seeing him like three plays.

I was listening to the Monday Morning Quarterback Show on Sports Talk 980 and Joe Jacoby said that "The coachs wanted Levar to play on special teams and he refused. Fo that matter he even refused to attend the special teams meeting". I think this is starting to sound like D-Mac, I sure hope not. Levar needs to work himself back onto the field by whatever means necessary. If he needs to play special teams for a few weeks then so be it. This is nothing new for a Joe Gibbs team, Darryl Green, Ricky Sanders, Monte Coleman, Wilbur Marshall all played special teams on occasion. Levar needs to get past his ego, then we will be better of with him on the field.

Howie Long said he talked to Lavar and that's where the story is coming from.
Gibbs and Williams have been saying they are working him back in slowly. Gibbs said a week or so ago that his knee was drained early in the season (1st game I think). Williams said Lavar would be getting more playing time, but it's been less and less since the statement was made.
Lavar will be on SportsTalks 980 around 3pm today I'm sure it will come up. Maybe some one will post it here.
But we do have another option....
