Why I don't like Mark Brunell...

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Why I don't like Mark Brunell...

Post by Skinsfan55 »

Because I can't throw lefthanded.

I never liked Steve Young because he was a southpaw... but what benefits, or disadvantages are there to a lefthanded QB?

It doesn't seem took have an effect on Michael Vick. It's just a hand, Steve Young was great. Brunell is a good QB, we can't take away from a guys talent because of which hand he throws with or because we want Ramsey to be the starter. If Shane Matthews was still the QB we would be pretty happy we have Brunell right now.

It's slightly different for recievers in terms of watching the ball released, it's slightly differnet for offensive lineman in terms of blocking assignments, it's slightly different for the center in terms of snapping the ball, and it's slightly different for the defense in terms of playing strong and weak sides of the field.

It's a slight different, and it's not really an advantage or disadvantage for us or our opponents...

well, do wideouts switch sides?

Like it's easier for Brunell to throw to a certain side right?

Your RT will become the most important lineman in passing formation because he has to protect Brunells blind side.

It's a shame because you guys have a quality probowl LT in Samuels.

But, your RT might be good enough...I don't really know. I thought he was more of a run blocker type of guy (correct me if I'm wrong).

Jansen will be fine. He's handled the single-season sack record holder Michael Strahan, so he can handle being the blindside blocker...

I have a feeling that Buges graded Jansen much higher than Samuels and a lefty QB fit perfectly in their scheme.
I'm just stirrin' the pot and living in the '70s.

Our o-line will do good. I think as long as we have Buges, the southpaw issue won't become an issue... I hope.

I guess everyone is assuming we will have a left handed passer playing in 2004.

Guess everyone has given up on Ramsey being the starter....remember it is a competion.

lol, it just looks funny...

Remember Madden in the earlier days? Like when it was on N64 and when you drafted QB's you had an equal chance of drafting a left or righthanded QB? That was annoying :-\

I love Patrick Ramsey as much as the next guy but Brunell is going to get SOME playing time.

The only reasons I don't like Brunell are because he may make Ramsey be a backup and it is so weird to throw to Coles with him on Madden!

Other than that, I like him. I have 30 cards of him that need a signature and he seems like a really good guy.

I'm with you Jake, I already traded for Brunell (in Madden) its totally different playing with a lefty QB.

brunnel's a great qb,but ramsey still has his chance to start.all he has to do is beat out brunnell in camp and give the skins the best
chance to win.
