Ive got a cheering idea for Sunday.
Hey you know that indian war cry that florida state uses to cheer and the braves use it too. I was thinking why not the skins I think it might pump up our team in critical situations. Or maybe Fedex could get so loud it would distract the opposing teams offense. Someone here hopefully could start the rally cry in fedex on Sunday. Its worth a shot.

Maybe I'm just doing it wrong...

I like TC's idea--what quarterback is going to be able to call a play when 90,000 people are singing Billy Joel at the top of their lungs?

most of the indians I have spoken too are proud of the name. I just think it would be something to really unite the fans and team. Nothing unites better than a good war cry.But all politics aside I just thought it would be cool. regardless they cant stop 90 thousand fans who paid there hard earned bucks from picking which cheer they want. just some thoughtsFanfromAnnapolis wrote:HOSS wrote:I don't know. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong...I think you're not supposed to use a real hatchet. Those chants etc. tend to work better with the college-aged crowds. The Redskins definitely would need something that is original. Why give the lobbyists (who have nothing better to do than drain tax dollars and sue over sports-team names) even more ammo against the Danny? The last thing I want this offseason is a rekindled debate on our choice of name with added evidence: "We also debase American Indians by waving our arms around and chanting, which clearly disrespects various traditions. . ."

Of course the Indians you know are proud of their name (most people are). Ask them how they feel about the "Tomahawk Chop" at sporting events

We would have to change burgundy to red, and gold to yellow.
The we would have to move the team to Kansas City.
Not practical, not particularly practical...
Let us try something new and original!
How about singing? Not necessarily Billy Joel but...
Hail to the Redskins anybody???
OK it is not new and certainly not original but everybody knows it (or should know it).

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
