I almost completely denounced this as a troll post, but after reading more thoroughly, it looks like you are actually trying to discuss some valid points.
All I have for you though, is - Welcome to the site. We should see a good battle between East and West.
edit: Actually, I do have a few thoughts here...
1.) Yes, Gregg Williams is just that damn good. And the fact that we have talented players on our D.
2.) IMO, LaVar has never been overrated. But we have yet to see if he will return to his old form. He hasn't played much this season - some believe he's being phased out, and some believe that his presence hasn't been required in the types of defensive packages we've been running so far.
3.) Rodgers has played, but it's been limited. He is a rookie, so I wouldn't be too suprised if he got burned bad on a couple deep balls this year, but I think we'll all see his impact within the next year or two.
4.) I don't think our O-line has played poorly. From what I've seen, they've given the QBs time to throw the ball. Perhaps the blocking up front could be better, and create a few more holes for CP to bust through, but overall, I think they've done a decent job. We need to eliminate those Delay of Game, False Start, and Holding penalties (but who doesn't?), and our QBs could make some better decisions when in the pocket, but the line has been pretty solid. The end of the Dallas game proved that we are capable of getting the deep ball, and that game may have turned a switch on for us and our passing game - but we'll just have to wait and see on Sunday.
I'll be at the game, and I expect to see a good one.
My prediction: Redskins 17, Seahawks 14.
Based on your post Pizzazz, you've given me hope that there are other football fans out there with some class....not like most of the Dallas/Philly knuckleheads that come trolling around here during game week.

Any team from the AFC or NFC East, the Seahawks have struggled with.
I don't know why the Redskins have been playing so well against the Seahawks. Bruce Smith always getting a sack against Walter Jones, Steve Spurrier outcoaching Mike Holmgren, The 'Skins defense shutting down Shaun Alexander.
Who could forget the last game?
- The Seahawks (6-3) blew a 14-3 first-half lead, fell to 1-3 on the road and appeared to outthink themselves when it came to how to beat the Redskins. Washington had allowed an NFL-high 29 sacks entering the game because it couldn't stop the blitz, but the Seahawks decided to bluff the blitz rather than actually do it. As a result, the Seahawks became the first team not to sack Patrick Ramsey this season.
- With the Redskins trailing 14-3 early in the second quarter, Damien Robinson intercepted a pass and ran 26 yards down the sideline toward an apparent touchdown. Coles caught him from behind, stripped the ball and Randy Thomas fell on it for a touchback. Given a second chance, Washington drove 80 yards and scored when Coles made another outstanding play -- a tiptoe catch at the back of the end zone for a 15-yard reception that made the score 14-10.

I don't know how Washington defends the pass so well, probably because our secondary is beastly. lol

Springs is good, and brings that veteran thing to the team. But I don't think too many people here believe he's any kind of superstar. He'll make some plays, and lose some plays - just so long as he doesn't give up a game winner like Roy Williams did...
I doubt there's going to be a ton of Seahawks fans there anyway.
You never know, but there's no way in hell that it could be as bad as a Philly/Dallas/NY game at FedEx. Or even the Steelers - that preseason game felt like an away game for a while! Every other car in the lot was 'Steelers'...
edit: Oh, and I was laughing about B. Smith because he was a joke to most of us here. He came here to get his 3 sacks or whatever for his record. That was it. Maybe I'd have some love for the guy if he played in Washington for his entire career, but that wasn't the case.

Hey man, welcome. To adress some of your points:
Gregg Williams is just incredible. I don't know how he does it (if I did I guess I'd be making big bucks coaching in the NFL though). He just has an extremely good system. Last year when important players went down he'd just go out and sign an undrafted free agent and the next week the guy wouldn't just be starting but excelling in his role. Basically, he puts guys in position to make plays and stresses fundamentals. The D is very disciplined, they don't overpursue, and they are all sound tacklers. He also throws all kinds of packages out there and can completely confuse the opposition with his insame blitzes and formations.
The real strength of the D is it's run stopping. Last year the team gave up a league low 3.1 yds/carry (to put that in perspective the next best was 3.6!). Alexander is an excellent back and you have a great line but hopefully we can slow him down a little. I don't know how much LaVar will play as they are bringing him along slowly coming back from his knee injury but watch out for Marcus Washington. He plays the strong side LB and last year he made his first Pro Bowl. He is very good.
Our secondary is also excellent. The 'Skins rolled the dice on Springs last year and it payed off big time. He lead the team in ints AND sacks and he is the prototypical Williams DB as he is a great cover corner but more importantly a fantastic tackler (hence all the sacks) but I'm sure you know this. Sean Taylor is a freak of a human, only an inch shoerter and 10 lbs lighter than LaVar but with the speed of a corner. Gregg Williams believes in bringing DBs along slowly and that is the main reason Rogers hasn't played much. Well, that and the fact that Walt Harris has been spectacular so far this year. Rogers played extremely well in the preseason but Walt has the experience that Williams likes. Carlos will come in as the nickle back though and as the year goes on I think he will take over the starting duties. It was still a great pick though because Springs and Harris aren't going to be around forever.
As for offense, our line is greatly improved but there is still a long way to go. Other than the fact that they allowed Ramsey's head to get knocked off in the first game, they did a great job against a tough Bears line and Portis had a big day. However, in Dallas they took a step back giving up five sacks. They were superb in the preseason so I hope that this is just a matter of gaining some consistency. Portis has bulked up a lot and I think he will have an exceptional day. Moss is clearly a threat and our #2 and #3 guys, David Patten and Taylor Jacobs, both also lack size but are very fast big play guys. So, it all comes down to Mark Brunell's play.
I think it will be a close game. Most 'Skins games are because of the conservative ball control offense and the smothering D that we employ. I am going to give a slight edge to the 'Skins just because of their great run D, the Seahawks poor road record and the fact that Gibbs has had two weeks to prepare. I also think FedEx will be a very hard place to play because the Redskins fans have two weeks worth of excitement and there are going to be 95,000 fans going wild on Sunday. Should be an excellent game, may the best team win (I mean the Redskins of course
)!

Nice website:

Balanced and informed threads:

... and good posters.
(Trying hard to think about something aggressive and intimidating)
The blue and green really do not click. Try burgundy and gold!
(I did NOT look at the hotties section, I did NOT. I promise. Really.)
But we should try the "prize" hats and things like those.
Welcome to our website!
The left side of your OL is awesome. We will have to compensate there. I predict a Skins victory but it will be closer than most people think.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

How the hell does your defense play so well. Is Gregg Williams just that damn good?
Yes, he is that good. He has a system, plug guys in and they perform.
Your defensive ends cannot create a pass rush (Phillip Daniels and Renaldo Wynn) but are big and great against the run. BTW how is Phillip, pretty good when he was a Seahawk.
Last year there we very few fans who didn’t think our line was a liability but they played very well even when Daniels was out most of the season. Even when they don’t produce sacks they get good push winning the line of scrimage, that bottles up the running game.
Yet the Skins are one of the best pass rushing teams in the NFL.
Thinks blitz.. corner, safety.. lb all or one, every play.
I am assuming that Cornelius Griffin is a beast inside as a pass rusher.
He should’ve been in the pro bowl last year. He gets such a good push that he destroys running plays and forces the QB to move into the blitzing lanes.
Will LaVar Arrington return as the 10+ sack pass rusher? I always thought of Arrington as overrated, but at 100% he is your best linebacker/pass rusher.
If he does those are pure bonus points. The D is good even when he doesn’t play.
I like the pickup of Warrick Holdman, I think he can return to the Holdman of old when he was with Chicago, especially with Williams' track record. Nice insurance in case Arrington is done.
Warrick is starting. Almost all the skins defensive players are starters. Whose in the game depends on the schemes they are utilizing.
Is Carlos Rogers even playing? You used a top ten pick on him in the draft. I'd think he should at least be making an impact as a nickel CB.
He was hurt during the preseason. He should start seeing more time in various schemes since he should be getting into game conditioning about now. The problem which is a good problem to have is that Walt Harris is playing great.
How is the offensive line? The line should be one of the best in the NFL but it seems they have underachieved the last 2 years.
The o-line is a work in progress. So far better then last year. Each individual seem better then the sum of the parts. We need a breakout game from them. They looked great in pre-season.
The key matchup IMO is Derrick Dockery - Marcus Tubbs.
Your other guard Randy Thomas should control Chuck Darby/Rocky Bernad.
Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen should control Wistom and Fisher. maybe not shut them out, but they wont go nuts on Brunell.
Dockery and Tubbs are former teammates at Texas. Dockery is 6-6, 335 pounds.
This from Paul Woody:
Derrick Dockery has every physical tool necessary to be an elite offensive guard. He's big, strong, has good feet, long arms and decent speed. He is playing better than last season, but he still has occasional lapses in concentration, which lead to false starts or missed blocks. He needs to overcome those shortcomings in order to play to his full potential.
If Dockery wins that battle, then Portis will have over 100 yards. I don't think Alexander will rush for 100 yards.
BTW, play PICKSIX at our site. Everyone is welcome and you can win a free Redskins watch. I live in Seattle and have support for the local team, but I grew up in Oakland... Can't wait till da Raides play the Skins.
