I'm watching the Red Sox vs Orioles game on television right now. The crowd noise is quite loud, and when it's 0-2 on Mora, Tejada, Surhoff et. all, the crowd are on their feet cheering loudly for a strike out. When one of the Orioles get on base, or score a run, there's a chorus like echo of boos cascading down from the stands and conversely, when the Red Sox scored their two runs, the crowd erupted in euphoric applause. Right now, the Red Sox are up 2-1. When the Orioles scored their run in the last inning, there was an almost deftly silence mixed in with the definite mix of boos. The crowd are really pulling loudly for their beloved Red Sox.
The only problem is the game is in Baltimore!!!
Is anyone watching the Orioles/Red Sox game right now?

Yeah, I've been to a Red Sox game at Baltimore. There are at least just as many red sox fans as there are Oriole fans AND THAT IS ON A BAD DAY! Under normal situations Red Sox fans outnumber the Orioles; especially at this time of year. The Orioles have their bags packed and so do their fans. Of course Red Sox fans buy the tickets and you know the rest.
Redskins Rule!!!

you think it's bad in baltimore, try watching a game in tampa bay. the stands are only half filled, and they're probably 75% sox fans.
i've noticed it quite a bit this year. i'm sure the series win last year has brought out all the bandwagoners in every corner of the country.
if i were an oriole or devil ray, it'd piss the hell out of me to have 'home town' fans cheering for the other team.

Yep, whenever it's the yankees or the red sox, the b'more fans are always out numbered. I remember being at O's and Yanks a few years ago, and the Yanks beat the o's to clinch the division that day. I had on my Cal Ripken jersey, and I thought I was going to get my butt kicked.
Especially when this moron goes, "Hey. Are you an Orioles fan?"
I said, "what the [expletive deleted] does it look like you [expletive deleted] mornon?"
He was a bit drunk and didn't like it much, but he was also pretty stupid, so by the time it sunk in I was outta there.
