This win was HUGE! The return of Joe Gibbs is now starting to show real results.

The Redskins WON this game. Those were phenomenal pass plays from Brunnel to Moss.

The Skins now can say they belong. Now they have the confidence to start making waves.

Incredible. One for the ages.

The real question now is: why the HELL can´t we play like this more often?

Dinking and dunking the ball won´t take you very far. As demostrated last night, if you want to win you MUST air it out from time to time.

I think we will start to air it out some more. I think it's actually great to have a bye this week and give Brunell another week to gel with his WRs.

The most important thing though is that two weeks in a row we have found a way to win. Even if it wasn't always pretty this team really gutted it out. Great stuff!

Absolutely - the passing game (especially the deep passing game) is the one missing link in what should otherwise be a playoff team. The D is elite-level, and the running game is solid, but no opponent fears the 'skin's QB's. If Brunell manages to rekindle his old magic, this will be a great year.

In the preseason we definately looked better in the 2 min offense. That's a good observation BigPig, I think that Brunell really relies on getting a good, fast rhythm going and using his feet to play his best.

Brunell is still not a good quarterback. He got lucky that Roy Williams fell asleep on those long throws. Sanatana Moss is a playmaker, but now teams are going to be more aware of him. It'll be interesting to see what we're able to do with teams keeping more of an eye out on Moss. I'm still not sold on Brunell being the right choice. He made a number of mistakes and was lucky he only had 1 pick. I still don't think Gibbs made the right decision in benching Ramsey so early. Brunell overthrew and underthrew open receivers and again threw into crowds. It was great we won this game, but what are we going to do against better teams that don't fall asleep in the last 4 minutes of a game?

Get over Brunell being named the starter. You better pray Ramsey is ready to play, should an injury force him into the game. As you saw (or maybe didn't? :-s

) last night, Gibbs won't yank Brunell simply if he isn't "lighting up "the scoreboard like Peyton did last year.

Saw the report this morning about Santana Moss saying to Gibbs that he could beat the saftey deep. Not the other Moss - just throw it up there, I'm always open. A clear, well-thought, 'we/team' approach to his head coach... thank goodness!

Bingo - you win the prize. That's the point of having a playmaker. If he makes big plays, the other team pays more attention to him; thus, opening up opportunities for our other playmaker, Clinton Portis. Or Chris Cool

Well obviously that's a good thing; that was the problem last year - opponents could key on the run, because the passing game wasn't there. That's why Portis's stats took a dive, because he was pretty much the offense, and everyone knew it. I just hope Brunell keeps it up. He had a QB rating of 70.5 last week and was 94.1 last night vs. Dallas. Let's see which Brunell comes into the game in two weeks.

Lucky Williams fell asleep? Did u watch the same game? I might give you that on the first td, but no way in hell on the second. Brunell made that throw and it was PERFECT, hit moss in stride. Ramsey would have lost that game, I would rather have Brunell take 5 sacks than throw for 5 INTS.

Brunell read the defense.
Brunell made the accurate throw.
Brunell hit Moss in stride.

That is not luck, its veteran leadership and ability.

Particularly when you do it twice in a row! Once may be lucky but twice is not. Both balls were PERFECT throws.

BTW, Brunell almost had him in the 1st half too. It was the first time he went deep and he only barely underthrew him. Then he hit him right in stride on the 41 yd play down the sideline. That was another perfect throw.

So essentially Brunell went deep four times, underthrew Moss by a foot or two the first time and then threw three absolutely perfect strikes after that. Who says he can't throw the ball downfield? He looked pretty damn good when he did it last night!

All though I beleive we got lucky Im still happy about it. Our D was spectactular. Our offense was subpar if not for the last second heroics.

For over 3 quarters our offense sucked, if the team has a good o-line, good wideouts, good running backs, and an average qb then we should be better on offense. Its got to be the play calling. Gibbs is way to conservative, we did not mix up the plays enough for me. Thank goodness for our great defense . I am not a Brunell fan but he threw the 2 best passes in his career and it was sweet. I will take a win over Dallas any day.

Don't let some people hear you say that. You aren't a "real fan" if you point out anything negative -- even in a glorious result as this one was.

I'm sure the coaches are just as concerned over the 55 minutes of blecch that we saw as they are elated over the last 5 minutes where heart, guts and wanting-it-more pulled out a fantastic win.

Brunnell didn't get lucky. Its not Brunnell's fault that Santana Moss owns Roy Williams. And don't forget about that 3rd and 27 run that Brunnell did to set up the first bomb.
