Patriots cut four-time Pro Bowler Milloy
FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots cut four-time Pro Bowl safety Lawyer Milloy on Tuesday.
Milloy, who had started 106 straight games going back to his rookie season in 1996, was a defensive leader on the Patriots team that won the 2002 Super Bowl. He had 19 regular-season career interceptions, seven sacks and seven fumble recoveries.
Am I the only one thinking, if a good deal can be had... sign him... quick.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I agree - dependant on the money and the attitude I think.
Milloy is good in coverage and lays people out when they catch the ball over the middle.
Snatch and grab baby!
I still say go for O'Donnell too. Better him than Johnson - and with the style offense he could do very well.

The second one was what I was replying to
I do feel your pain though - I can't tell you how many times I have seen our team in the past walk past a good deal. Then, back in the early 90s, I thought we had a god in Charlie Casserly - king of plan b free agency - built that team up and it rocked. The only problem was, most of us in the outside world didn't understand what would happen after the players contracts and free agency kicked in behind the plan B system and the salary cap ravaged everything. Casserly couldn't do anything after that and our team fell apart. Poor Richie Pettibon (the new head coach after Gibbs went to racing) had to dismantle half the team in one offseason.
If they feel like they can afford these moves, I can't question it too much - what are we going to do anyway - vote the owner off the island? (more serious question than you might imagine) I respect Snyder for spending hard for the team he has worshipped since he was a kid, and am glad to see someone who is willing to go hard after someone like a Milloy when he comes up.
