Smoooooooooot

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Yeah, I still love Smooooooooooot as well.

Actually, he got a pick last week.

However the team made the right choice in letting him go, I mean he is a good corner and all, but he wanted to much money and Carlos Rogers seems promising.

Smoot sucked. Couldn't cover an old lady running a 10-yard out pattern.

I'm not commenting on his heart, I'm commenting on his talent. Big difference.

I was just venting. Seems like whenever an opposing team had a 3rd-and-8 or 3rd-and-10 last year, they would always go on the quick out on Smoot's side and he would always play so far off the receiver, it was almost always a first down.

Again, just venting.

He was always a better talker than he was a player.

Chad's gonna torch him.

i met smoot at fair city mall in fairfax last summer when i went out to dinner at OCB with some friends. he seemed lke one of the coolest guys i've ever met. like he was with punu, he talked as though we were the celebrities and he was the fan, and he was really gracious with his time. he also was the nicest guy to little kids, picking them up and talking to them like santa claus. he is a class act, and i wish hmi well on the vikes.

as far as tackling--i think the only time champ tried ot make a tackle in his career was on sunday and he separated his shoulder. smoot made tackles WITH a separate shoulder against the bears last year, and basically saved the game for us. SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT!
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

Hail to the Redskins!

I also thought he showed great heart, but am glad we weren't the team that overpaid him.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

Smoot is getting more than he's worth, but few on this site (it seems) are willing to give him the credit he deserves in both talent and heart.

My 2 cents

I'm actually really glad to see that he's still talking it up. I hope he brings it on Sunday.

I agree with you. I like Smoot. I hope he does well as long as he's not playing against the skins.

Ouch. Sorry to have to witness you like that, Smoot.

(maybe you should've stuck with the Skins. . .)

Watch out for the Bengals(?!) this year.
