No, I don't think we'd take it. The only thing we would be doing making a trade for Ramsey with a first round pick would be creating another whole at the QB position. I think we would actually have to get a first pick and something else for Ramsey in order for the SKINS to trade him. I'm not saying he's worth that much, just saying I think thats what it would take.
Phins Fans should keep an eye on the Garcia situation. And Maybe Dilfer too. Not saying these are top notch guys, but there definetley an upgrade from Fiedler. Or you might just have to stomach this year should the phins get Henson or another Rookie QB and go with him.

I can't recall if the Phins trade rumor was proven true. But if Miami is serious about offering their first round pick for PRam, I'm willing to bet he would be guaranteed the job.
But all that doesn't matter. I agree with most of the members here that so far, it has been Sexton that has been pushing PRam or speaking for him. We have to wait until Patrick says, "I wan't to be traded", for any of this nonsense to come to terms.

I couldn't agree with you more...Obviously Sexton will ask Snyder for a trade (thats a no-brainer) However, Snyder will decline and see how Ramsey and Sexton react to that
Nice thought 777, if I did have to accept PRam going somewhere else, and I don't see Timmy as our #2; I might not mind Rivers backing up Brunell.
Could this idea even really be considered? Won't Rivers get drafted pretty high; and the Skins probably won't take him in the first round because of other needs?
side note... I really like the idea of Kleissesserresser from the Vikes takin' over at TE.
Why would we ostensibly trade Ramsey for an unproven Rivers? What on earth are we getting out of it?
... it's not like we have to trade Ramsey. Sexton can belly ache all he wants... he's really just laying the framework for demanding a bigger contract for P-Ram (and more money for himself) if Ramsey beats out Brunell and is getting paid less money.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Well, if we get a #1st rounder, such as the Dolphins, for Ramsey, it will be possible to get Rivers. Rivers is projected to go to the Dolphins in %90 of the mock drafts I have seen; however, that is no guarantee. I read an article a little while ago that said our QB coach was really interested in Rivers(I kind of speed read through it. I think that's what it said.) But the bad news is Rivers agent is SEXTON. We'll have to deal with that prick again. I'm telling you guys right now, Phillip Rivers is the sh!t. I could type a term paper right now on all the accomplishments by this guy. Dan Marino loves him too. The only negative that critics give Rivers is that his throw looks funny. So what. He has uncanny accuracy and is as smart as QBs come. He's tough. In fact, I believe he beat Donovon McNabb's record as far as most conseecutive starts in college. Thats what I heard anyway from a Phillip Rivers fan. I would much rather have Rivers than Ramsey anyday. Whoever doubts Rivers, doesn't know his name because he was hidden behind the popular name "Manning".

Why on earth do you want to keep Ramsey so bad? I still don't understand this love for him. I think alot of people here are just sick and tired of changing QBs all the time in Washington and thats why everybody has so much emotion for him to stay. Well, Gibbs is back, and he's our new coach. There is going to be more changes this year in players. Hopefully, the changes this year result in a more stable franchise in the future. By the way, what has Ramsey proven yet? That he can take a sack?

umm... Brandon777 I don't think you can be reading any of my posts if you're accusing me of being a blind faith Patrick supporter. Read a few posts... you'll see you couldn't be more off base. Do a search on Bosshog... check the last 10 posts I made today and see how wrong your accusations are.
But that doesn't mean we give up a solid player to land an unproven college player for the sake of soothing egos. you talk about Patrick not having done anything yet and you want to bring in a guy who hasn't even see an NFL practice field yet... that makes a lot of sense. You're sick and tired of changing QBs and so to solve this you want to change QB's... that makes even less sense.
Gibbs will bring in players... and Gibbs will do exactly what he says he's going to do... and that's keep Patrick Ramsey.

I am only going by your post I quoted. True, Rivers hasn't proven anything in the NFL yet considering he just got out of college (duh!) Ramsey is fairly new in the NFL and he hasn't proven anything to me. If Ramsey wants out you'll have to replace him with a QB, unless you just want Brunell and Hasselbeck on the QB roster. Also, having Brunell will help lessen any damage to the Skins if Rivers should happen to fail(which he won't). Thats why it makes sense. It has nothing to do with soothing egos. I think it has something to do with upgrading at QB.

I will also like to add this. No Boss Hog. I don't want to keep on changeing QB's and other personel in the future. I want to stop the instability in Washington; however, I'm willing to except the changeing of players this year and perhaps some of next year. We have a new coach now. One that will hopefully make his mark again. With new coaches comes new planning. This is Gibbs first year back. I fully expect changes to happen. I respect his choices. I would also rather have a QB in the draft who was proven in college instead of a "solid player" as you refered to Ramsey, who is going to sit on the bench and pout if he isn't the starter.
